Daniel Guerrero (footballer)
José Daniel Octavio Guerrero Rodríguez (born 18 November 1987) is a Mexican former professional footballer who last played as a defensive midfielder for Halcones de Zapopan. Club career Atlante Guerrero, a product of the Atlante youth system, debuted for the team at the age of 18 on September 9, 2006, during the 65th minute of play while sporting the number 27 jersey. Atlante, playing at their home at the time, Estadio Azteca, went on to lose 2–0 against Atlas. With Atlante, Guerrero was champion of the Apertura 2007 tournament. 2 years later, his team also won the 2008-09 CONCACAF Champions League, thus qualifying for the 2009 FIFA Club World Cup in Abu Dhabi where Atlante would finish fourth after losing in the semifinals to eventual tournament champions FC Barcelona. In 2010 after the sale of Federico Vilar to Morelia, Guerrero was selected as the new team captain. Federico Vilar Baudena (born 30 May 1977) is an Argentine football manager and former player who played as a goalkeeper. Vilar played the majority of his career in Mexico where played for five different clubs. He also won four different titles and scored four goals all by free kicks. Vilar was known for his great reflexes and established himself as one of Mexico's best goalkeepers, his charisma and leadership ability has also earned him the title of team captain throughout his career. Career Vilar began his career playing for Boca Juniors in Argentina from 1993 to 2000 and Almirante Brown from 2000 to 2001. He then migrated to Mexico and played for second division team Acapulco until making his debut in Mexico's First Division on 1 December 2003, against Monterrey. Primera División de México ''(Mexican First Division)'' Clausura 2008 was a Mexican football tournament - the second of two tournaments held in the 2007-08 season. It began January 18, 2008 and ran until June 1, 2008. Veracruz and Morelia inaugurated the season, with Morelia winning 1–0. Reigning champions Atlante F.C. were eliminated from making the ''Liguilla'' with a 3-2 loss to Monterrey and thus could not defend their title, and Veracruz was relegated to the Primera División A after finishing last on the percentage table. Liga MX, also known as Liga BBVA MX for sponsorship reasons, is a professional association football league in Mexico and the highest level of the Mexican football league system. The Panama national football team () represents Panama in men's international Association football, football and is governed by the Panamanian Football Federation, Federación Panameña de Fútbol (). The team represents all three FIFA, CONCACAF and the regional Central American Football Union, UNCAF.
