Daniel Gordon is a British documentary film director known for his documentaries on sports and North Korea. Career Gordon previously worked for Sky Sports and Chrysalis. He wrote two books on Sheffield Wednesday FC. In December 2001, he was nominated for a BAFTA for producing and directing '' Darren Gough’s Cricket Academy''. He founded VeryMuchSo productions in January 2001, based in Sheffield. In 2002, Gordon worked with Nicholas Bonner of Koryo Tours to bring the seven surviving members of the 1966 North Korea national football team to Britain. The resulting film, '' The Game of Their Lives'' won the 2003 Royal Television Society award for best sports documentary. Daniel was also nominated Best Newcomer at the 2003 Grierson Awards. The film also received a nomination for Best Documentary at the British Independent Film Awards. It won first prize at the Seville Film Festival. Daniel Stefan Gordon (born 16 January 1985) is a former professional footballer who played as a defender. Born in Germany, he has represented the Jamaica national team. Club career Gordon has played for Borussia Dortmund, VfL Bochum, Rot-Weiß Oberhausen, FSV Frankfurt, Karlsruher SC, and SV Sandhausen. After Gordon's contract with Karlsruher SC expired in summer 2020, the club was still considering an extension in August. In September 2020, he signed a one-year contract with the club. Daniel Gordon (June 2, 1821 – September 26, 1907) was a businessman, ship owner and politician in Prince Edward Island.Dictionary of Canadian Biography, Volume 13'. Ed. Ramsay Cook, Jean Hamelin. He represented 2nd Kings from 1866 to 1873 and 5th Kings from 1876 to 1904 in the Legislative Assembly of Prince Edward Island as a Conservative member He was born in Brudenell River, Prince Edward Island, the son of Henry Gordon, and was educated in Georgetown. Gordon taught school and then opened a general store in Georgetown, also establishing an import-export business. His firm eventually owned at least 15 ships. In 1851, he was named justice of the peace. He also served as chair of the local board of school trustees. In 1854, he married Bridget E. Kearne.
