Daniel García-Peña Jaramillo (born 1957) is a Colombian university professor, historian, journalist, politician, and diplomat who served as Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Colombia), Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs between April and July 2024 and currently as Ambassador of Colombia to the United States since July 15, 2024. Born in Bogotá, D.C., García-Peña studied History at Belmont Abbey College and later served as Director (education), Director of the Department of Political Science at the National University of Colombia.Crisis, what crisis

Colombian Ambassador To The United States
The ambassador of Colombia to the United States is the ambassador extraordinary and plenipotentiary of the Republic of Colombia to the United States of America. The Ambassador is Colombia's foremost Diplomat, diplomatic representative to the United States, and Chief of Mission in Washington, D.C. The Ambassador however, is not the only Colombian diplomat in the United States, the other two being the Permanent Representative of Colombia to the Organization of American States also in Washington, D.C., and the Permanent Representative of Colombia to the United Nations in New York City. The officeholder is charged with representing the interests of the President of Colombia, president and government of Colombia, and advancing the accredited countries.
