Daniel Camargo
Daniel Camargo (born September 1991) is a Brazilian ballet dancer. He joined the Stuttgart Ballet in 2009, and was promoted to principal dancer in 2013. In 2016, he left to join the Dutch National Ballet, before leaving in 2019 to pursue a freelance career. In 2022, he joined the American Ballet Theatre. Early life and training Camargo was born in Sorocaba. He started ballet at age nine, at the encouragement of his two sisters' dance teacher. A year later, he moved to the ballet school at Teatro Guaíra, Curitiba. At age twelve, Camargo competed at the Youth America Grand Prix (YAGP), winning the second prize in the junior section. He returned to YAGP a year later, again winning the second prize, as well as a scholarship to the summer intensive programme at the Harid Conservatory in Florida. Sorocaba () is a municipality in the state of São Paulo, Brazil. Sorocaba is the eighth-largest city in the state of São Paulo. Elisa Badenes
Elisa Badenes is a Spanish ballet dancer who is currently a principal dancer at the Stuttgart Ballet in Germany. Early life Badenes was born in Valencia, Spain. She started ballet at Conservatorio Profesional de Danza de Valencia at age 11. In 2008, after competing at the Prix de Lausanne, she trained at The Royal Ballet School for a year with a scholarship. Career In 2009, Badenes became an apprentice with Stuttgart Ballet as after she graduated, and became a member of the company's corps de ballet a year later. She became a principal dancer in 2013. Prix Benois De La Danse
The Benois de la Danse is a ballet competition held annually in Moscow. Founded by the International Dance Association in 1991, it takes place each year on or around April 29 and it's judged by a jury. The members of this jury change every year and it consists of only top ballet personages. Statuettes are given to the winners in the categories of lifelong achievement, ballerina, danseur, choreographer, composer and designer. Jorma Elo is a contemporary choreographer. Early life He was born 30 August 1961 in Helsinki, Finland. His father, Jaakko Elo, is a urological surgeon, mother Ruth Elo née Carlstedt, a dentist. Jorma Elo's partner since 1994 is Nancy Euverink who has also been assistant to Elo. As a schoolboy, Elo wanted to be an ice hockey player, despite this he began studying modern and jazz dance at 12. Wayne McGregor, CBE (born 12 March 1970) is a multi award-winning British choreographer and director. Alexei Osipovich Ratmansky (russian: Алексей Осипович Ратманский, born August 27, 1968) is a Russian-American choreographer and former ballet dancer. From 2004 to 2008 he was the director of the Bolshoi Ballet. He left Russia in 2008. As of April 2014 he was the artist in residence at the American Ballet Theatre. Glen Tetley (February 3, 1926 – January 26, 2007) was an American ballet and modern dancer as well as a choreographer who mixed ballet and modern dance to create a new way of looking at dance, and is best known for his piece ''Pierrot Lunaire''.
