Dani (tribe)
The Danes were a North Germanic tribe inhabiting southern Scandinavia, including the area now comprising Denmark proper, Yorkshire, and the Scanian provinces of modern-day southern Sweden, during the Nordic Iron Age and the Viking Age. They founded what became the Kingdom of Denmark. The name of their realm is believed to mean "Danish March", viz. "the march of the Danes", in Old Norse, referring to their southern border zone between the Eider and Schlei rivers, known as the Danevirke. The Danish Academy of Business and Technology (Danish: Erhvervsakademi Dania), usually referred to as Dania, is a Business school, business academy with eight campuses in Denmark. The academy is a state-funded institution subordinated to the Ministry of Higher Education and Science (Denmark), Ministry of Higher Education and Science. Dania Park, also known as Daniaparken, is located on the Bo01 district in Malmö, Sweden and was designed by architects Thorbjörn Andersson and PeGe Hillinge of SWECO FFS Architects in 1999. Dania (Latin for ''Denmark'') is the traditional linguistic transcription system used in Denmark to describe the Danish language. It was invented by Danish linguist Otto Jespersen and published in 1890 in the ''Dania, Tidsskrift for folkemål og folkeminder'' magazine from which the system was named. Jespersen's ''Dania'' system differs from the later IPA, particularly concerning the Danish vowel letters. There is no official moderation of the standard and so specific phonetic symbols may differ from author to author. Also, there are no absolute phonetic references for the standard and so its usage is discouraged by Danish phoneticians and phonologists. Diana Ordóñez (born 1987), known professionally as LEDANIA, is a Colombian multimedia artist based in Bogotá. Known mostly for her graffiti murals, LeDania also works in photography, graphic design, advertising, artistic makeup, and decorative items such as clothing and accessories.
