Dangerous Nan McGrew
''Dangerous Nan McGrew'' is a 1930 Pre-Code American musical comedy film starring Helen Kane, Victor Moore and James Hall and directed by Malcolm St. Clair. Plot Dangerous Nan McGrew is the lead entertainer in a traveling medicine show. Muldoon, a member of the medicine show, is a fugitive wanted for murder. The medicine show gets stranded at the snowbound hunting lodge of a wealthy woman. Performing at a Christmas Eve show for the lodge guests, the saxophone-playing nephew of the landlady falls in love with Nan. The Royal Canadian Mounted Police are on the trail of Muldoon, and McGrew, a Sharpshooting singer, assists in the end. John Rummel Hamilton (January 16, 1887 – October 15, 1958) was an American actor who appeared in many movies and television programs, including the role as the blustery newspaper editor Perry White in the 1950s television program '' Adventures of Superman''. Biography John R. Hamilton was born in Shippensburg, Pennsylvania, to John M. Hamilton and his wife Cornelia J. (Hollar) Hamilton. Fleischer Studios () was an American animation studio founded in 1929 by brothers Max and Dave Fleischer, who ran the pioneering company from its inception until its acquisition by Paramount Pictures in 1942, the parent company and the distributor of its films. In its prime, Fleischer Studios was a premier producer of animated cartoons for theaters, with Walt Disney Productions being its chief competitor in the 1930s. ''The Bum Bandit'' is an animated short film created by the Fleischer Studios in 1931 as part of the ''Talkartoons'' series. Betty Boop is voiced by Harriet Lee. Plot Bimbo prepares to rob a train that he has forced to stop. He then sings "The Hold up Rag". A ferocious bearded cowboy emerges, eats the barrel of Bimbo's gun, and, pulling off his beard and costume, and reveals himself to in fact be his wife Dangerous Nan McGrew (portrayed by Betty Boop), whom he had abandoned. She drags Bimbo through a pond, then throws him into the locomotive, and disconnects it from the rest of the train. They then drive off, cover the engineer's cabin and send all their wet clothing out on a line to dry, including Betty's panties and socks.
