Dancing On Ice (Series 4)
''Dancing on Ice'' is a British television series broadcast from 2006 to 2014 and then from 2018 to 2025. It was presented by Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern. Other previous hosts include Phillip Schofield and Christine Lampard. The series features celebrities and their professional partners figure skating in front of a panel of judges. The series, broadcast on ITV, started on 14 January 2006 and initially ended on 9 March 2014. On 4 September 2017, it was announced that a revived series would air on ITV from 7 January 2018 with Schofield and Willoughby returning as hosts. Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean assumed new roles as head judges, alongside original judge Jason Gardiner and new judge Ashley Banjo. In 2020, John Barrowman replaced Gardiner as a judge, however on 3 October 2021, it was announced that Barrowman would not be returning to the judging panel. Christopher Dean
Christopher Colin Dean, OBE (born 27 July 1958) is a British ice dancer considered, with his skating partner Jayne Torvill, amongst the greatest ice dancers of all time. The pair won a gold medal at the 1984 Winter Olympics and a bronze medal at the 1994 Winter Olympics. They were also four-time world and European champions and seven-time British champions. Early life Dean grew up in Calverton, Nottinghamshire. When he was six, his mother left and his father remarried. Dean never talked about this with his father or stepmother, both of whom have died. He has regained contact with his mother. From 1974 to 1980, he was a police constable with Nottinghamshire Police. ITV Studios Bovingdon
Royal Air Force Bovingdon or more simply RAF Bovingdon is a former Royal Air Force station located near the village of Bovingdon, Hertfordshire, England, about south-west of Hemel Hempstead and south-east of Berkhamsted. During the Second World War, the airfield was used by the Royal Air Force (RAF) and the United States Army Air Forces (USAAF) Eighth Air Force. It was assigned USAAF designation Station 112, station code "BV", later changed to "BZ". Royal Air Force use Bovingdon was built in 1941–42 as a standard Class A RAF bomber airfield. Shepperton Studios is a film studio located in Shepperton, Surrey, England, with a history dating back to 1931. It is now part of Pinewood Group, the Pinewood Studios Group. During its early existence, the studio was branded as Sound City (not to be confused with the Californian recording studio of Sound City Studios, the same name). History 1930s–1960s Shepperton Studios was built on the grounds of Littleton Park, which was built in the 17th century by local nobleman Thomas Wood. The old mansion still stands on the site. Paul Myles Farrer (born 1973) is a British composer. He was born in 1973 in Worcester, England. Sam Matterface
Samuel Peter Matterface (born 27 April 1978) is an English sports broadcaster currently working for TalkSPORT, TNT Sports and ITV Sport. Matterface was also the commentator on the ITV skating competition ''Dancing on Ice'' from 2018 to 2024. Career Matterface started working in sports radio in 1992 for local hospital radio station OHR, before moving into commercial radio at 16. Simon Reed (broadcaster)
Simon Reed (born 5 August 1947 in Sutton, Surrey) is a British broadcaster, known as a commentator on a variety of sports. His voice has also been heard on Dancing On Ice. He is the half-brother of actor Oliver Reed, nephew of film director Sir Carol Reed and grandson of RADA founder Sir Herbert Beerbohm Tree. His career began in the 1970s at Thames Television, as a sports reporter, commentator and presenter. He covered a wide range of sports including ice dancing, providing the commentary on Torvill and Dean's European Championship winning performance of Bolero in 1984. Simon began commentating on tennis in 1984 for Channel Four. He has been a commentator on Eurosport since 1991. He has been head of their commentary team since 1995. Tony Gubba
David Anthony Gubba (23 September 1943 – 11 March 2013) was an English journalist and television sports commentator. Life and career Born in Manchester, Gubba was educated at Blackpool Grammar School. He began work as a local newspaper reporter with the Cyril Briggs Press Agency in Warrington, contracted to work on the Lymm edition of the Cheshire Country Express newspapers, before moving up to the job of staff reporter for the ''Daily Mirror''. He later worked at Southern TV in Southampton. BBC Gubba joined the BBC as a sports correspondent, based in Liverpool.
