Lois E. Brown (born 22 January 1955, in Stouffville, Ontario) is a Canadian businesswoman and politician. She served as the Conservative Member of Parliament (MP) for Newmarket—Aurora from 2008 to 2015. Political career Brown is a former member of the Canadian Alliance and was nominated as its candidate for Newmarket—Aurora in advance of the 2004 federal election. When the party merged with the Progressive Conservative Party of Canada, however, Brown lost the Conservative nomination to Belinda Stronach, who went on to defeat Liberal candidate Martha Hall Findlay. Kittiwake Dance Theatre
Kittiwake Dance Theatre is the oldest non-profit dance company in the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. It was founded in March 1987 by Linda Rimsay, an American dancer who moved to St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador in 1978. Rimsay served as Kittiwake's artistic director from 1987–2007; she was succeeded by Martin Vallée. Based in St. John's, Kittiwake boasts a repertoire of more than fifty works, and is well-known for its annual performance of ''The Nutcracker''; it also offers workshops and residency projects. Louise Moyes is a Canadian dancer and choreographer based in St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador. Moyes is known for what she calls docu-dances, multi-disciplinary theatrical shows she creates by working with the rhythms of voices and accents as if they were a musical score. Moyes has performed across Canada and in Germany, Italy, Iceland, New York, Australia and Brazil.
