Dan Cullen (golfer)
Daniel James Cullen (born 10 April 1984) is a former Australian first-class cricketer who played for South Australia and Somerset in a career that lasted from 2004 to 2009. He was a right-arm off break bowler who appeared six times for Australia, and was touted as a promising prospect to replace Shane Warne. However, a number of unproductive seasons meant that he lost his national contract in 2008, and was dropped by South Australia in 2010, ending his first-class career. Cullen was a member of the Australian team that won the 2006 ICC Champions Trophy. He first appeared for South Australia in 2004, and after two strong seasons for South Australia, he was selected to tour Bangladesh with the national team in April 2006. He made his Test debut when other players were rested, and subsequently played the three ODIs on the tour. Cullen Bailey
Cullen Benjamin Bailey (born 26 February 1985 in Bedford Park, Adelaide) is a former Australian First Class cricketer. He is a leg-spin bowler, who represented South Australia in the Ryobi Cup and Sheffield Shield, the Australian domestic cricket competitions. He played for Glenelg in the Adelaide Grade Cricket competition, having previously captained Sturt where he won a premiership in his last year at the club in 2009/10. In 2012/13, he captained Glenelg to their first premiership in 39 years. Along with former South Australian spinner Dan Cullen, Bailey attended Westminster School in Adelaide where he was coached by Kim Harris, former assistant coach of South Australia. Bailey had been coached by Terry Jenner, the man who advised Shane Warne, and was thought to be a prospect to be the leg-spinner to follow the likes of Warne and Stuart MacGill into the Australian cricket team. Sheffield Shield
The Sheffield Shield (currently known for sponsorship reasons as the Marsh Sheffield Shield) is the domestic first-class cricket competition of Australia. The tournament is contested between teams from the six states of Australia. Sheffield Shield is named after Lord Sheffield. Prior to the Shield being established, a number of intercolonial matches were played. The Shield, donated by Lord Sheffield, was first contested during the 1892–93 season, between New South Wales, South Australia and Victoria. Queensland was admitted for the 1926–27 season, Western Australia for the 1947–48 season, and Tasmania for the 1977–78 season. Ricky Ponting
Ricky Thomas Ponting (born 19 December 1974) is an Australian cricket coach, commentator, and former cricketer. Ponting was captain of the Australian national team during its "golden era", between 2004 and 2011 in Test cricket and 2002 and 2011 in One Day Internationals (ODIs) and is the most successful captain in international cricket history, with 220 victories in 324 matches with a winning rate of 67.91%. 2006–07 DLF Cup
The DLF Cup 2006–07 (named after sponsor DLF) was a triangular One Day International cricket tournament involving Australia, India, and West Indies. Australia defeated West Indies by 127 runs in the final to lift the trophy, winning three of their five games in the tournament. Australian bowler Brett Lee was declared Player of the Series for his outstanding contribution with the ball. All the games were played at the Kinrara Academy Oval in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia between 12 September and 24 September 2006. Alton, Hampshire
Alton ( ) is a market town and civil parish in the East Hampshire district of Hampshire, England, near the source of the River Wey. It had a population of 17,816 at the 2011 census. The 2006 English cricket season was the 107th in which the County Championship had been an official competition. It included home international series for England against Sri Lanka and Pakistan. England came off a winter with more Test losses than wins, for the first time since 2002-03, but still attained their best series result in India since 1985. The One Day International series against Pakistan and India both ended in losses. In domestic cricket, Nottinghamshire, holders of the County Championship, were relegated, and it was Sussex who took the Championship title as their Pakistani overseas player Mushtaq Ahmed ended with 102 wickets. Cameron White
Cameron Leon White (born 18 August 1983) is an Australian former international cricketer who captained the national side in Twenty20 Internationals. A powerful middle order batsman and right-arm leg-spin bowler, White made his first-class cricket debut as a teenager in the 2000–01 season for the Victoria cricket team as a bowling all-rounder. In 2003–04, he became Victoria's youngest ever captain at the age of 20 when he took over leadership of their one-day side, and the first-class captaincy followed the season after.
