Damon Jones (other)
Damon Darron Jones (born August 25, 1979) is an American former professional basketball player who played most of his career for the Cleveland Cavaliers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). A combo guard, he played college basketball for three years with the University of Houston Cougars before declaring early for the 1997 NBA draft, but he went undrafted. After his playing career ended, Jones joined the Cavaliers coaching staff. Early life Jones played for the Ball High School Golden Tornadoes basketball team. He went on to the University of Houston after his graduation in 1994. Professional career A journeyman throughout his career, Jones never played for the same team for more than one season except for 2005–2008, when he played for the Cleveland Cavaliers. The Cleveland Cavaliers, often referred to as the Cavs, are an American professional basketball team based in Cleveland. Nuova AMG Sebastiani Basket Rieti, sometimes designed as NSB, was an Italian professional basketball based in Rieti, Lazio though it played one season (the 2009–10 season, its last) in Napoli, Campania. History The club was considered the successor of AMG Sebastiani Basket (named after Angelo, Mario and Gino Sebastiani, three sportsmen brothers from Rieti, executed by German soldiers in 1944). In basketball, a rebound, sometimes colloquially referred to as a board, is a statistic awarded to a player who retrieves the ball after a missed field goal or free throw. Rebounds in basketball are a routine part in the game; if a shot is successfully made possession of the ball will change, otherwise the rebound allows the defensive team to take possession. Rebounds are also given to a player who tips in a missed shot on their team's offensive end. A rebound can be grabbed by either an offensive player or a defensive player. The International Basketball Association (IBA) was founded in 1995 by a group of businessmen led by Tom Anderson. The original owners of franchises in the league were George Daniel (Black Hills Posse-Rapid City, SD), John Korsmo, Al Gardner, and Al Hovland (Fargo Beez), Jeff McCarron (St. Cloud Rock 'n Rollers), Bill Sorensen (Dakota Wizards - Bismarck) and Earl Barish (Winnipeg Cyclones). Earl Barish of Winnipeg directed the IBA as League President and the league eventually grew to ten franchises. On September 1, 2001, CBA and IBL teams merged with the IBA and purchased the assets of the defunct CBA, including its name, logo and records from the bankruptcy court and restarted operations, calling itself the CBA. The Cleveland Charge are an American professional basketball team in the NBA G League based in Cleveland, and are affiliated with the Cleveland Cavaliers.
