Damien Neilson
The following is a list of characters that first appeared in the New Zealand soap opera ''Shortland Street'' in 1998, by order of first appearance. Damien Neilson Damien Neilson was the identical younger brother of the villainous Darryl ( Mark Ferguson). Damien was created following the resignation of Angela Dotchin (who portrayed Kirsty Knight). Producers planned for Kirsty to leave the show with her true love and the obvious choices were Stuart (Martin Henderson) or Darryl Neilson. There were however several issues, Henderson was busy, and Ferguson's character had been killed off as the result of a contractual dispute. Moira Dawn Cochrane (also Lafferty, previously Crombie) is a fictional character on the New Zealand soap opera ''Shortland Street'' who first appeared in 1997, portrayed by Geraldine Brophy. Rangi Heremaia
Te Rangitahi "Rangi" Heremaia is a fictional character on the New Zealand soap opera ''Shortland Street'' who was portrayed by Blair Strang from 1995 to 2001 and again in a cameo in 2022. The character was renowned and iconic for his unusual and unrealistic storylines; One of which being a long running incest storyline with Donna Heka ( Stephanie Tauevihi), creating a "will-they/won't-they" dynamic that lasted many years. Stephanie Ann Tauevihi is a New Zealand songwriter, singer and actress, known for her work as the fictional character, Donna Heka, in the New Zealand television series ''Shortland Street''. Donna Heka (also Bennett) is a fictional character on the New Zealand soap opera ''Shortland Street'', who was portrayed by Stephanie Tauevihi from 1997 to mid-2004 and again for a two episode stint in December 2004.
