Damian Fernando
Mutunama Gonnege Damian Clode Kithsiri Fernando (born 18 February 1982), known as Damian Fernando, is an Italian cricketer of Sri Lankan origin. He is a right-handed batsman and right-arm medium-fast bowler. Born in Marawila, Fernando made a single first-class cricket, first-class appearance for Chilaw Marians Cricket Club, Chilaw Marians during the 2002–03 season, against Antonians Sports Club, Antonians. From the lower-middle order, he scored a duck in the only innings in which he batted. He made four List A appearances for the team during the same season, scoring 33 runs in three innings (including a top score of 24 against Sri Lanka Air Force Sports Club (cricket), Sri Lanka Air Force). In April 2013, Fernando was selected in Italy's fourteen man squad for the 2013 ICC World Cricket League Division Three, World Cricket League Division Three in Bermuda. First-class cricket, along with List A cricket and Twenty20 cricket, is one of the highest-standard forms of cricket. A first-class match is of three or more days scheduled duration between two sides of eleven players each and is officially adjudged to be worthy of the status by virtue of the standard of the competing teams. Matches must allow for the teams to play two innings each, although in practice a team might play only one innings or none at all.
