Damian Barton
Damian Barton (born 19 May 1962) is a former Gaelic footballer who played for the Derry county team in the 1980s and 1990s. He has served as manager of Derry senior football team. He was part of Derry's 1993 All-Ireland Championship winning side, also winning Ulster Senior Football Championships in 1987 and 1993. He usually played in the half-forward line. Barton played club football with Seán O'Leary's GAC Newbridge, where he won a Derry Senior Football Championship in 1989. He also writes for ''The Irish News''. Playing career Inter-county Barton captained Derry to Ulster Minor and Ulster Under-21 Football Championship successes. Both team went on to be runners-up in the All-Ireland Minor and All-Ireland Under-21 Championships. Barton made his Senior Championship debut in 1981 against Down. The 1993 All-Ireland Senior Football Championship was the 107th staging of the All-Ireland Senior Football Championship, the Gaelic Athletic Association's premier inter-county Gaelic football tournament. The championship began on 16 May 1993 and ended on 19 September 1993. Donegal entered the championship as the defending champions; however, they were defeated by Derry in the Ulster final played during a deluge in Clones. Derry went on to win the Sam Maguire Cup for the first time, beating Dublin in the All-Ireland semi-final and then Cork in the All-Ireland final by 1-14 to 2-8. Seamas Downey scored Derry's only goal, with his Lavey club mate, John McGurk, being named RTÉ man of the match. Robert Emmet's Gaelic Athletic Club Slaughtneil ( ga, CLG Roibeard Éiméid Sleacht Néill) is a Gaelic Athletic Association club based on the townland of Slaughtneil, near Maghera, County Londonderry, Northern Ireland. The club is a member of Derry GAA and competes in Gaelic football, hurling and camogie. The club is named after Irish patriot and revolutionary Robert Emmet and the club plays its home games at Emmet Park. Slaughtneil have won the Derry Senior Football Championship six times and the Derry Senior Hurling Championship 16 times. Paddy Crozier
Paddy Crozier ( ga, Pádraig Crúiseír) is an Irish Gaelic football manager and former player who managed the Derry county team between 2006 and 2008, guiding the county to a National League title. He has also managed a number of club teams and Derry underage teams. Crozier currently manages Omagh St Enda's. He was a distant relation of former Derry manager Eamonn Coleman. Managerial career Inter-county Crozier was manager of the Derry Minor side that won the 1995 Ulster Minor Championship and finished runners-up to Westmeath in that year's All-Ireland Minor final.
