Dalovice () is a municipality and village in Karlovy Vary District in the Karlovy Vary Region of the Czech Republic. It has about 2,000 inhabitants. Administrative division Dalovice consists of three municipal parts (in brackets population according to the 2021 census): *Dalovice (1,183) *Všeborovice (413) *Vysoká (292) Geography Dalovice is located about northeast of Karlovy Vary. It lies in the Sokolov Basin. The highest point is the hill Ptačí vrch at above sea level. The stream Vitický potok flows across the municipality and then joins the Ohře River, which flows along the southern municipal border. History The first written mention of Dalovice is from 1498. It was a large estate, but not rich in income. The owners of the estate often changed. Anton Dietz
Anton Dietz (28 December 1888 in Dallwitz – 1 January 1960 in Innsbruck) was an Austrian police officer and the Righteous Among the Nations. On 18 January 1945, there was an order to bring all inmates of the prison of Innsbruck to the concentration camp Bergen-Belsen. Five female Jews were planning to escape the prison. The two inspectors Karl Dickbauer and Anton Dietz supported them. Only two could manage to flee. Anton Dietz then organized faked documents for the two women who were hiding. He pretended they were Christian Poles who lost their documents on their way to Austria. This way they were able to receive operating sheet. They started working in a village in Salzburg, St. Martin.
