Dallara P217
The Dallara P217 is a sportscar prototype built by Dallara, Dallara Automobili to the 2017 FIA/ACO regulations for the Le Mans Prototype, Le Mans Prototype LMP2 class. The car also meets the regulations for the Le Mans Prototype 2 Class of the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship, WeatherTech Sportscar Championship. It was active in the FIA World Endurance Championship, the European Le Mans Series & Asian Le Mans Series. The prototype made its debut at the 2017 4 Hours of Silverstone. Development The car is a result of the bid made by Dallara, for one of the four licenses to build the new for 2017 Le Mans Prototype 2 cars. It is also the first LMP constructed by Dallara since the original Audi R18 TDI. Brembo N.V. is an Italian manufacturer of automotive parts that most notably produces braking systems, for high-performance cars and for the sim racing series Gran Turismo. Its operational head office is in Curno, Bergamo, Italy, while Amsterdam, Netherlands, is the company's legal seat. History Brembo was established in Paladina, Italy, on January 11, 1961, by Emilio Bombassei and Italo Breda (father and uncle, respectively, to the current Chairman Alberto Bombassei). Racing Team Nederland is a former Dutch endurance racing team founded by F1 driver and Le Mans winner Jan Lammers and businessman Frits van Eerd. AVF formerly AV Formula, was a Spanish motor racing team, run by former racing driver Adrián Vallés. History After retiring from racing, Vallés formed his own team at the end of 2012, under the name Av Formula.
