Dalga Arena
Dalga Arena () also known as Liv Bona Dea Arena for sponsorship reasons, is a multi-use stadium in Mardakan settlement of Baku, Azerbaijan. It is currently used mostly for football (soccer), football matches. The stadium holds 6,500 people and opened by Sepp Blatter and Michel Platini on 6 June 2011. The stadium was one of venues during 2012 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup. Liv Bona Dea Arena already hosted two matches of the Azerbaijan national football team, Azerbaijan national team against Macedonia national football team, North Macedonia in a friendly and Austria national football team, Austria in the UEFA Euro 2012 qualifying. 2012 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup
The 2012 FIFA U-17 Women's World Cup was the third edition of the women's football tournament, and was held in Azerbaijan from 22 September to 13 October, following a decision by the executive committee on 19 March 2010. Defending champions South Korea failed to qualify for the tournament. France won the title after defeating North Korea 1–1 (7–6 after pen.). Mascot The official mascot of this World Cup was The Top Top Girl (Top Top Qız), which means ball in Azerbaijani, a young girl with the national flag painted on her cheeks. Her body is blue, red, green and white kit like the host's national team and her brown hair in a ponytail designed to resemble what is known as a buta, a curving decorative motif widely used in Azerbaijani art. UEFA Euro 2012 Qualifying
The qualifying competition for UEFA Euro 2012 was a series of parallel association football competitions held across Europe between 2010 and 2011 to decide the qualifiers for UEFA Euro 2012. The draw for the qualifying rounds was held on 7 February 2010 in the Congress Hall of the Palace of Culture and Science, Warsaw, with matches set to take place between August 2010 and November 2011. Two host countries qualified automatically. For the first qualifying round, there were nine groups. Michel François Platini (; born 21 June 1955) is a French association football, football Administrator (business), administrator and former player and manager. Mardakan (, ) is a settlement and municipality in Khazar Rayon of Baku, Azerbaijan, located on the coast of the Caspian Sea, with a population of 32,084.
