Dakkada Football Club (formerly Akwa Starlets Football Club) is a Nigerian football club. They played in the Nigerian Professional Football League after gaining promotion from the Nigeria National League on 22 July 2019. In May 2023, the club relegated to the Nigeria National League. History Dakkada FC was founded as Akwa Starlets FC in 2004 by the Akwa Ibom State Government through the then Commissioner for Youths and Sports Chris Ekong as the junior team of Akwa United FC. When Dakkada FC was formed they first played in the Nigerian National Amateur League 1 and gradually gained promotions. In September 2019, Akwa Starlet was crowned the 2019 Champion of the Nigeria National League. On the 31st of October 2019, the club management officially re-branded the club, changing its name from Akwa Starlet FC to Dakkada FC. Dakkada FC is located in Uyo, Akwa Ibom state. Godswill Akpabio International Stadium
The Godswill Akpabio International Stadium (formerly Akwa Ibom International Stadium) is a 30,000 capacity national sports stadium located in Uyo, the state capital of Akwa Ibom State, Akwa Ibom. The stadium serves as a home to the Nigeria national football team, Nigerian Super Eagles as well as a center for various social, cultural, political and religious events. The contract for the construction of the Akwa Ibom International Stadium complex and Games Village was awarded in 2012 to Julius Berger (construction company), Julius Berger and was completed in 2014. The 30,000 seater ultra modern multipurpose sports complex was modeled after Allianz Arena. Nigeria National League
The Nigeria National League (NNL) (formerly the National Division 1) is the second-highest overall in the Nigerian football league system after the Nigeria Premier Football League, and is currently contested by 46 clubs. Each season, four teams are promoted to the Nigeria Premier Football League, via NNL Super 4/NNL Super 8. The twelve lowest-finishing teams in the Nigerian National League are relegated to Nigeria Nationwide League. History From 1997-2011, the league has been split into 1A for Northern teams and 1B for southern teams. The top two from each division are promoted to the Nigerian Premier League the next season. 2022–23 Nigeria Professional Football League
The 2022–23 Nigeria Professional Football League was the 52nd season of Nigeria's top-flight association football league and the 33rd since attaining professionalism. The regular season started on 8 January 2023 and concluded with the playoffs on 11 June 2023. Bendel Insurance, Doma United, Bayelsa United and El-Kanemi Warriors were the four promoted clubs from the 2021–22 Nigeria National League, replacing Kano Pillars, Katsina United, MFM and Heartland. Umar ibn al-Khattab (; ), also spelled Omar, was the second Rashidun caliph, ruling from August 634 until his assassination in 644. Club career Awakan started his football career at FC Ebiede in 2011. He made a name for himself while playing for Akwa United.
