Dakh Daughters
Dakh Daughters is a Ukrainian music and theatre project started in 2012 in Kyiv. The band consists of seven women, who play on various instruments and sing in different languages (Ukrainian, English, French, German, Russian) and dialects of Ukrainian.''Борис Барабанов'Украина на все голоса. Dark Cabaret
Dark cabaret is a music genre that draws on the aesthetics of burlesque, vaudeville and Weimar-era cabaret, generally played by groups with origins in rock music. The genre traces its roots to 1930s Weimar Republic experimental cabaret of Bertolt Brecht and Kurt Weill, and their influence upon 1960s rock bands including the Doors. In the 1970s, the dark cabaret genre began to emerge with Steve Harley & Cockney Rebel's '' The Human Menagerie'' (1973) and Nico's '' The End...'' (1974). William Shakespeare's Sonnet 35 is part of the Fair Youth sequence, commonly agreed to be addressed to a young man; more narrowly, it is part of a sequence running from 33 to 42, in which the speaker considers a sin committed against him by the young man, which the speaker struggles to forgive. WOMAD ( ; World of Music, Arts and Dance) is an international arts festival. The central aim of WOMAD is to celebrate the world's many forms of music, arts and dance. GOGOLFEST () is an annual multidisciplinary international festival of contemporary art and Filmmaking, cinema in Kyiv, Ukraine, dedicated to the famous writer Nikolai Gogol, Mykola Gogol. Zaxidfest
Zaxidfest ( ; previously known as Zaxid, from ) is an annual international music and art festival held in the middle of August in Lviv Oblast, western Ukraine. Zaxid was founded in 2009 as a festival of Ukrainian rock and ethno music. Later it has lost an attachment to some concrete music genre and was expanded by different foreign artists (including Anti-Flag, Caliban, Clawfinger, Ektomorf, Everlast, Ill Niño, Kreator, Oomph!, Zdob și Zdub and others). Every year organizers conduct online-survey where anybody can propose and vote for artist. In this way the list of participants is formed.
