The ''Dagblad van het Noorden'' (; ), abbreviated as ''DvhN'', is a Dutch regional daily newspaper that is published and circulated in the provinces of Groningen and Drenthe in the northeastern Netherlands. The newspaper is owned by Mediahuis. Erik Wijnholds has been editor-in-chief since 2017. It had a circulation of 96,515 copies in 2015. History The ''Dagblad van het Noorden'' is a merger of the ''Nieuwsblad van het Noorden'' (founded in 1888), the '' Groninger Dagblad'' (founded by merger in 1992) and the '' Drentse Courant'' (founded by merger in 1991). Its first edition was published on 2 April 2002. Jan Bonjer, who had been the editor-in-chief of the ''Drentse Courant'', was the first editor-in-chief from 2002 to 2003. ''Nederlands Dagblad'' (; "Dutch Daily") is a Dutch daily newspaper, available nationwide, with a daily circulation of 23,800 issues (in 2020). History The paper was founded in 1944 as a semi- resistance paper during World War II called ''Reformatie Stemmen'' (Reformatory Voices). After the war it was renamed ''De Vrije Kerk'' (The Free Church) and later ''Gereformeerd gezinsblad'' (Reformed Family Paper). In 1959 it became a daily newspaper. RTV Noord is a regional radio and television public broadcaster in Groningen, Netherlands. , its radio programs are broadcast on FM 97.5 MHz. It broadcasts TV and radio programming 24 hours per day, seven days a week. Some content is broadcast in the Gronings dialect of Low Saxon.
