DXRP-AM
DXRP (88.7 FM broadcasting, FM), on-air as Radyo Pilipinas or RP1 News, is a radio station owned and operated by the Presidential Broadcast Service. Its studios are located at the Mindanao Media Hub Building, Carlos P. Garcia Highway, Bangkal, Davao City, and its transmitter is located at Broadcast Ave., Shrine Hills, Matina, Davao City. From February to August 2018, following the preparation of the Mindanao Broadcast Hub, DXRP was temporarily broadcasting on FM at 87.5 MHz (this frequency broadcasts as DXQQ, Davao City Disaster Radio) while currently looking for a new transmitter location for its main frequency on its AM counterpart. In August 2018, it transferred its frequency to 88.7 MHz, coinciding with the launched of FM1 Davao, 87.5 FM1 Davao. Its studios are located at the Mindanao Media Hub Bldg., Carlos P. Garcia Highway, Bangkal, Davao City, and its transmitter is located at Shrine Hills, Matina, Davao City. The Mindanao Media Hub is state-owned broadcast facility in Davao City, Philippines. Construction The construction of the Mindanao Media Hub began with the groundbreaking ceremony held on May 3, 2018. It was intended to host the Philippine government's media agencies and was initially projected to be finished by January 2019. The facility's construction was part of President Rodrigo Duterte's efforts to decentralize the operations of the national government, including state media.
