DW-TV
DW-TV () is a German multilingual TV news network of Deutsche Welle. Focussing on news and informational programming, it first started broadcasting 1 April 1992. DW broadcasts on satellite and is uplinked from Berlin. DW's English broadcast service is aimed at an international audience. History DW (TV) began as RIAS-TV, a television station launched by RIAS, a West Berlin broadcaster in August 1988. The fall of the Berlin Wall the following year and German reunification in 1990 led to the closure of RIAS-TV. On 1 April 1992, Deutsche Welle inherited RIAS-TV's broadcast facilities, using them to start a German and English-language television channel broadcast via satellite, DW (TV), adding a short Spanish broadcast segment the following year. MHz Networks is an American broadcaster that specializes in international television programming. Washington, D.C., broadcast operations MHz (pronounced "M-H-Z") Networks began as a project of the Commonwealth Public Broadcasting Corporation. The broadcaster's original stations were WNVT in Goldvein, Virginia, and WNVC in Fairfax, Virginia, which served the Washington, D.C., television market. International programming began on WNVC in 1996, branded "World View TV". In 2001, the two stations became known as MHz Networks, with WNVC becoming MHz1 and WNVT becoming MHz2. In the digital television era, WNVC and WNVT placed a set of twelve international news channels on their two signals. WDSC-TV (channel 15) is an independent non-commercial educational television station licensed to New Smyrna Beach, Florida, United States, serving the Orlando area. Owned by Daytona State College, the station maintains studios at the Center for Educational Telecommunications on the DSC campus in Daytona Beach, and its transmitter is located on Brown Road near Christmas, Florida. WQPT-TV (channel 24) is a PBS member television station licensed to Moline, Illinois, United States, serving the Quad Cities area of northwestern Illinois and southeastern Iowa. ''DW News'' is a global news TV program broadcast by German public state-owned international broadcaster Deutsche Welle (DW). The first program aired the summer of 2015. History DW News was launched on 22 June 2015 and replaced DW programs like '' Journal''. The 24-hour service aims to be a German counterpart to international news channels from other countries, such as BBC News or France 24. The service is transmitted worldwide via satellite. KSMQ-TV (channel 15) is a PBS member television station in Austin, Minnesota, United States, serving the Rochester–Austin, Minnesota, metropolitan area. The station is locally owned by KSMQ Public Service Media, Inc. KSMQ-TV's studios are located on West Oakland Avenue in Austin, and its transmitter is located in rural east-central Mower County, between Grand Meadow and Ostrander. World Channel, also branded as World (stylized as WORLD), is an American digital multicast public television network owned and operated by the WGBH Educational Foundation. It is distributed by American Public Television and the National Educational Telecommunications Association and features programming covering topics such as science, nature, news, and public affairs.
