DSL Brewers
The Dominican Summer League Brewers are a Minor League Baseball team of the Dominican Summer League (DSL) and a Rookie affiliate of the Milwaukee Brewers. They are located in Santo Domingo Este, Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. They play their home games at the Milwaukee Brewers Dominican Republic Academy, which opened in 2024. They previously played at the Tower Complex from 2012 to 2023. The Milwaukee Brewers began fielding teams in the Dominican Summer League in 1989, though several teams were operated as co-ops in partnership with other Major League Baseball clubs. The DSL Brewers have played continuously since 2010 following previous stretches from 1991 to 1993 and 1997 to 2003. Milwaukee currently operates two DSL teams: the DSL Brewers Blue and DSL Brewers Gold. From 2021 to 2024, they were known the DSL Brewers 1 and DSL Brewers 2, respectively. Santo Domingo Este
Santo Domingo Este is a municipality and the provincial capital of the Santo Domingo province in the Dominican Republic. It has one municipal district (''distrito municipal''), San Luis. Santo Domingo Este is across the Ozama River which divides the east and west sections of metropolitan Santo Domingo. This eastern side is more residential and less commercially developed, but it too has experienced growth, though at a slower pace than Santo Domingo itself, with new malls and department stores. History Santo Domingo Este was created as a separate municipality in 2001 by Law 163-01, which split the Santo Domingo province from the Distrito Nacional. Plans for local government separate from the National District were first floated in the 1970s. Congress considered a bill in 1984 that would have created the province of Santo Domingo Oriental, which was rejected on grounds that the creation of a new province would be unconstitutional. Mike Guerrero
Miguel Alberto "Mike" Guerrero (born January 8, 1968) is a Dominican former Major League Baseball coach (baseball), coach with the Milwaukee Brewers from 2014 to 2015 and a former Minor League Baseball, minor league player in the Brewers and Kansas City Royals farm systems from 1987 to 1995. He manager (baseball), managed in the Brewers organization from 2004 to 2022 before becoming a roving infield instructor in 2024. Playing career Guerrero played his first professional season in 1987 for the Rookie league Helena Brewers. In 1988, he played for Helena, the Rookie league Arizona League Brewers, and the Class A Beloit Snappers. He played for Arizona and Beloit again in 1989, as well as for the Class A-Advanced Stockton Ports. Guerrero spent the entire 1990 season with Stockton. He split the 1991 between Stockton and the Double-A El Paso Diablos. He stayed with the Diablos for all of the 1992 season.
