''DOA'' is the third studio album by American musician Ericdoa, released on January 19, 2024, by Listen to the Kids and Interscope Records. The album was supported by three singles, "Kickstand", "Dancinwithsomebawdy", and "Sweet Tooth". Background The album's aesthetic was inspired by Puerto Rican culture, specifically the Young Lords. Ericdoa was also inspired by the music of artists including Lady Gaga, Charli XCX, and Willie Colón. The album's cover artwork was inspired by a woman selling clothing that he met in Bushwick, Brooklyn who "embodied the selfless maternal spirit" of Latin women. Release On March 4, 2023, Ericdoa released a single in collaboration with Riot Games, ">One - Greater Than One", the theme for the ''Valorant'' character Gekko. Eric George Lopez, known professionally as ericdoa (stylized in all lowercase), is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer. He is known as one of the main artists in the hyperpop/ digicore genres of music. Career Lopez was born in Connecticut and is of Panamanian- Puerto Rican descent. As a child, he was given his first guitar by his grandfather, who died from COVID in 2021. Lopez started recording his own music and releasing it on sites such as SoundCloud under the name killeric, with his debut EP ''DOA'' being released in 2019. Lopez would change his stage name to Ericdoa in mid-2019 and would release his debut mixtape, ''Public Target'', and his first album, ''COA'', in 2020. Lopez signed with Interscope Records in 2021.
