DMS-K dual missile platform is an Egyptian anti-tank missile carrier based on the Toyota Land Cruiser 79 Single Cab pick-up. It employs the 9M113M ''Konkurs-M'' missiles. It was unveiled at the EDEX 2023 and developed by the Arab International Optronics in cooperation with the Arab Organization for Industrialization, tailored for special forces. It can carry up to eight missiles. Design The system is intended for engaging main battle tanks and light armoured vehicles on the front lines. It is a highly effective anti-tank system that takes advantage of the rapid mobility and maneuverability of the Toyota Land Cruiser vehicle, as well as its ability to move on difficult terrains. The 9M113 ''Konkurs'' (; ; NATO reporting name AT-5 ''Spandrel'') is a Soviet SACLOS wire-guided anti-tank missile. A development of the 9K111 Fagot with greater firepower, the 9M113 Konkurs can use the same launchers and is very similar visually, distinguishable only by a slight bulge towards the end of the Konkurs' missile tube. Development The 9M113 Konkurs was developed by the Tula Machinery Design Bureau (Tula KBP). Development began with the aim of producing the next generation of SACLOS anti-tank missiles, for use in both the man-portable role and the tank destroyer role. The 9M113 Konkurs was developed alongside the 9M111; the missiles use similar technology, differing only in size. A tandem-charge or dual-charge weapon is an explosive device or projectile that has two or more stages of detonation, assisting it to penetrate either reactive armour on an armoured vehicle or strong structures. Anti-tank Tandem charges are effective against reactive armour, which is designed to protect an armoured vehicle (mostly tanks) against anti-tank munitions.
