DMK (band)
DMK are a Depeche Mode tribute band formed in 2010 in Bogotá, Colombia, featuring Dicken Schrader (lead vocals, keyboard, xylophone, ukulele, percussion), his daughter Milah Schrader (background vocals, recorder, melodica, ukulele, percussion) and his son Korben Schrader (background vocals, toy keyboard, xylophone, toy accordion, percussion). DMK is noted for crudely emulating the sounds of Depeche Mode using an old keyboard and various toys and household items as instruments. The band became an internet sensation in January, 2012, following the release of their third cover video, "Everything Counts." Since their viral success, DMK have been invited to perform in front of live audiences in Colombia, the United States, Spain, Poland and Germany. Dicken Schrader
Dicken Schrader (born December 4, 1973) is a Colombian-American creative director, director, video artist and musician. He is most noted for his YouTube viral videos featuring himself and his two children, Milah and Korben, performing cover versions of Depeche Mode songs using an old keyboard and various toys and household items as instruments, under the name DMK. Schrader and his children are featured in the film ''Spirits in the Forest'', directed by Anton Corbijn. Early life Schrader was born in Bogotá, Colombia. He is the son of María Eugenia Forero and Christian Schrader, Dean of the Jorge Tadeo Lozano University School of Advertising. Since early age, he showed interest in video production and animation. Alejandro Jodorowsky Prullansky (; born 17 February 1929) is a Chilean-French avant-garde filmmaker. Best known for his 1970s films '' El Topo'' and '' The Holy Mountain'', Jodorowsky has been "venerated by cult cinema enthusiasts" for his work which "is filled with violently surreal images and a hybrid blend of mysticism and religious provocation". "Shake the Disease" is a song by English electronic music band Depeche Mode, released as a single on 29 April 1985. "Shake the Disease" was one of two new songs on the 1985 compilation albums ''The Singles 81→85'' and '' Catching Up with Depeche Mode'', along with the band's subsequent single " It's Called a Heart". ''Spirits in the Forest – A Depeche Mode Film'' is a live concert film, documentary, and album by the English electronic music band Depeche Mode. Directed by award-winning filmmaker and long-time artistic collaborator Anton Corbijn. The film chronicles the final concert of the band's Global Spirit Tour at the Waldbühne in Berlin, Germany, as well as the stories of six fans of the band. The Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards (also known as the KCAs or Kids' Choice) is an annual American children's awards ceremony show that is produced by Nickelodeon.
