__NOTOC__ The DFW R.I (company designation T26) was a heavy bomber () aircraft designed by the (DFW) during the First World War for the Imperial German Army's () Imperial German Air Service (). One bomber was built and it only flew two combat missions as it was destroyed after making an emergency landing in 1917. Development Designed by Hermann Dorner, chief engineer of DFW, it was a large biplane of conventional configuration with four water-cooled Mercedes D.IV straight-eight piston engines mounted inside the fuselage. Each engine was provided with a gearbox and clutch, that drove the two-bladed wooden propellers on the wings via driveshafts; two of these were mounted tractor-fashion on the leading edge of the upper wing, and two mounted pusher-fashion on the trailing edge of the lower wing. Sloka is a residential area and neighbourhood of the city Jūrmala, Latvia. History Sloka is first mentioned in historical records in 1255 under the names ''Slock'' and ''Schlocken''. It developed as a fishing village at the river Slocene under the Livonian Order. During the 17th century the Duke of Courland established lime kilns, copper furnaces and a foundry in Sloka. As part of Courland, the village became Lutheran and the first church was built in 1567. The Sloka Station, Sloka railway station was established in 1877. Auce (; ; ) is a town in Dobele Municipality, in the Semigallia region of Latvia. It is situated near the Lithuanian border. History Before the 13th century, the territory of Auce was a part of a Semigallian Spārnene county. After the partition of Semigallia in 1254, the territory was granted to the Archbishopric of Riga. Auce is first mentioned in written sources in 1426 as Owcze. In 1616, the Old Auce () manor is mentioned for the first time when there was a regional assembly that was held (landtag) of the Duchy of Courland.
