In basketball, a rebound is the act of gaining possession of the ball after a missed field goal or free throw. The Dutch Basketball League's (DBL) rebounding title is awarded to the player with the highest rebounds per game average in a given regular season. The rebounding title was first recognized in the 1985–1986 season when statistics on rebounds were first compiled. Basketball
Basketball is a team sport in which two teams, most commonly of five players each, opposing one another on a rectangular court, compete with the primary objective of shooting a basketball (approximately in diameter) through the defender's hoop (a basket in diameter mounted high to a backboard at each end of the court, while preventing the opposing team from shooting through their own hoop. A field goal is worth two points, unless made from behind the three-point line, when it is worth three. After a foul, timed play stops and the player fouled or designated to shoot a technical foul is given one, two or three one-point free throws. The team with the most points at the end of the game wins, but if regulation play expires with the score tied, an additional period of play (overtime) is mandated. Marcus Campbell (basketball)
Marcus Campbell (born March 11, 1982 in Winter Haven, Florida) is an American former professional basketball player. Campbell is 7'0" tall, and played college basketball at Mississippi State University. College career Campbell played four seasons at Mississippi State from 2001 to 2005. The Bulldogs advanced to the NCAA Tournament all four years he played there. He scored a career-high 18 points over UMKC in November 2004. He finished his career with 87 blocks, ranking him ninth on the Bulldogs' all-time career blocks list. Professional career Campbell bounced around numerous minor professional leagues in the United States upon leaving Mississippi State in 2005. Edward Maurice Berkeley Ingram CMG, OBE (14 December 1890 – 11 May 1941) was a British diplomat and civil servant. Background and education Ingram was the son of Major Edward Richard Berkeley Ingram (1850–95), 2nd Battalion, Welsh Regiment (41st Regiment), and Laura Maria Chennell Ingram (1850–1943), daughter of Thomas B. Donar, also known as Donar Groningen, is a professional basketball club based in Groningen, Netherlands. The club competes in the BNXT League and its home arena is MartiniPlaza, which has a seating capacity of 4,350 people. Basketball Stars Weert, commonly known as BSW, was a professional basketball team based in Weert, Netherlands. The club was founded in 1968 and played in the Dutch Basketball League. Home games of the team are played in the Sporthal Boshoven. The club was a regular participant in the Dutch top division, as the side from Weert appeared in the Eredivisie (later DBL) for 34 straight seasons. The highlight of the club was the national championship in the 1993–94 season. The club finished three times as runner-up in the DBL: in 1988, 1993 and 2001. Drew Henderson (born March 19, 1971) is an American-Dutch retired professional basketball player and coach and a current university administrator. He has played and coached internationally. Henderson has also been a member of the Dutch national basketball team. Early life Henderson was born in New York. Amsterdam Basketball was a Dutch professional basketball club from the city of Amsterdam, established in 1995 and dissolved in 2011.
