D424 is a state road in Croatia that connects the city of Zadar with the A1 (Croatia), A1 motorway. It links Gaženica port in southern Zadar and Zadar 2 interchange on A1 motorway, executed as a dual carriage Limited-access road, expressway () connector (road), connector, with an speed limit. Bibinje
Bibinje () is the only settlement in the eponymous municipality in southern Croatia, a suburb of Zadar, between the Adriatic tourist road and the sea, having a four-kilometer coastline with beaches and pathways. According to the 2011 census, it has 3,985 residents, 97% of which are Croats. The name Bibano or Bibanium dates as far back as the 11th century. The population always depended on agriculture and cattle breeding, followed by the fishing trade in more recent times. Bibinje was first mentioned in written documents in 1214. D27 is a state road connecting Gračac in the southern part of Lika, Croatia, to D8 state road via Benkovac. The road is long. It also provides an alternative route to the sections of A1 motorway and the D8 state road that cross the Maslenica strait over the two Maslenica bridges, underneath the Velebit. This is especially important when strong wind or storms (usually the bora) cause the A1 motorway section between Maslenica Bridge (A1) and Sveti Rok Tunnel to be closed for traffic for safety reasons. D502 is a state road connecting D27 state road and the D424 expressway Tromilja interchange to a number of settlements in Zadar hinterland and A1 motorway Zadar 2 interchange (via D424). The road is long. D502 is a connecting route providing a bypass of A1 motorway Maslenica Bridge and D8 state road Maslenica Bridge in case of strong winds. Originally the road extended to Zadar itself, however in April 2010, the road was shortened in order to cancel the existing intersection with the Zadar Airport runway. The intersection used to be guarded by traffic signs and barriers similar to the ones found near at-grade railroad crossings. Benkovac () is a town and municipality in the Zadar County, Croatia.
