D36 (Croatia)
D36 is a state road in central Croatia connecting Kupa River area and the city of Sisak to Croatian motorway network at the A3 (Croatia), A3 motorway Popovača interchange and to the D1 (Croatia), D1 state road in Karlovac in immediate vicinity of the A1 (Croatia), A1 motorway Karlovac interchange. The road is long. Like all state roads in Croatia, the D36 is managed and maintained by Hrvatske ceste, state owned company. Relocation of the route The D36 state road is planned to be rerouted so that it would connect Donja Zenčina interchange on the A1 (Croatia), A1 motorway and the existing route serviced by the D36. The existing road is planned to be diverted between Gradec Pokupski and Lijevo Sredičko to the west, while the road to the east from that section would remain unchanged. Sisak-Moslavina County
Sisak-Moslavina County () is a Croatian county in eastern Central Croatia and southwestern Slavonia. It is named after the city of Sisak and the region Moslavina just across the river Sava. According to the 2021 census, it is inhabited by 140,000 people . This county contains the ancient Roman city of Siscia—today's Sisak. Siscia was the largest city of the region back then, a Pannonian capital, likely due to its position on the confluence of the Kupa and Sava rivers. The state road D1 () is a national highway in Croatia. It is a one-lane highway that spans from Macelj border crossing in the north via Krapina, Zagreb, Karlovac, Slunj, Gračac, Knin, Sinj, ending in Split (city), Split. It is long overall. Before the A1 (Croatia), A1 and A2 (Croatia), A2 dual carriage motorways were completed in 2005 and 2007, respectively, the D1 was probably the busiest road during the summer in Croatia as it connected the northern border as well as the city of Zagreb with the tourist resorts on the Adriatic Sea. Since then, the traffic has waned significantly, but the D1 remains relevant as an alternative to the tolled highways. Kupa
The Kupa () or Kolpa ( or ; from in Roman Empire, Roman times; ) river, a right tributary of the Sava, forms a natural border between north-west Croatia and southeast Slovenia.
