Nikon D100
The Nikon D100 is a discontinued 6-megapixel digital single-lens reflex camera made by Nikon Corporation and designed as a consumer alternative to the professional D1 series cameras. It was the precursor of both the more advanced D70 and D200 cameras with the former continuing the consumer offerings and the latter beginning an advanced consumer and professional lineup. The D70 kept the controls which the D100 inherited from the F80 film camera, which has evolved into the current D7500 and D750 offerings, in cropped frame and full frame respectively. The D200 adopted the controls of the D1 series. History and Design It was introduced on February 21, 2002 at the Photo Marketing Association Annual Convention and Trade Show as a direct competitor to the Canon EOS D60. With a price of US$1,999 for the body only in the United States, it was the second 6-megapixel DSLR to break the $2000 barrier, after the EOS D60. Although the name D100 suggested that it was a digital version of the ...

Percentile Die
Dice notation (also known as dice algebra, common dice notation, RPG dice notation, and several other titles) is a system to represent different combinations of dice in wargames and tabletop role-playing games using simple algebra-like notation such as d8+2. Standard notation In most tabletop role-playing games, die rolls required by the system are given in the form . and are variables, separated by the letter ''d'', which stands for ''die'' or ''dice''. The letter ''d'' is most commonly lower-case, but some forms of notation use upper-case ''D'' (non-English texts can use the equivalent form of the first letter of the given language's word for "dice", but also often use the English "d"). * is the number of dice to be rolled (if , then the notation is usually simplified to ) * is the number of faces of each die. The faces are numbered from 1 to , with the assumption that the die generates a random integer in that range, with uniform probability. A notable exception is the d1 ...

Zocchihedron
Zocchihedron is the trademark of a 100-sided die invented by Lou Zocchi, which debuted in 1985. Unlike other polyhedral dice, it takes the appearance of a ball with 100 flattened spots. It is sometimes called "Zocchi's Golfball". Zocchihedra are designed to provide percentage rolls in games, particularly in role-playing games. It is an alternative to the percentile dice, which is used in conjunction with the d10 dice. History It took three years for Zocchi to design his die, and three more years to get it into production. Since its introduction, Zocchi has improved the design of the Zocchihedron, filling it with teardrop-shaped free-falling weights to make it settle more swiftly when rolled. The Zocchihedron II is a further improved model, and has another filler. Probability distribution of rolls A test published in ''White Dwarf'' magazine concluded that the frequency distribution of the Zocchihedron was substantially uneven. Jason Mills noticed that some numbers were spac ...
