D-War
''D-War'' (, released in North America as ''Dragon Wars: D-War'') is a 2007 American-South Korean action-adventure fantasy film written and directed by Shim Hyung-rae, and starring Jason Behr, Amanda Brooks, Robert Forster, and Elizabeth Peña, and focuses the reporter's attempt to protect the woman from the devilish dragon. At the time of its release, it was the highest-budgeted South Korean film of all time. The film grossed $75 million worldwide and received generally negative reviews. Shim Hyung-rae (; born January 3, 1958, sometimes credited as Hyung Rae Shim) is a South Korean former comedian and filmmaker best known for directing '' Yonggary'' and '' D-War'', by far the most expensive Korean movie in history. He has often worked with fellow directors Nam Gi-nam and Kim Cheong-gi. Career Shim Hyung-rae began his career debuting as a comedian in 1982 with the Korean Broadcasting System and won the KBS Best Comedian of the Year Award in 1988. Hubert Taczanowski (1 October 1960 – 4 June 2024) was a Polish-born British and American cinematographer. Biography Hubert Taczanowski was born on 1 October 1960. He was the son of Stanisław and Mirosława (née Sadżak) Taczanowski, and a member of the former magnate family Taczanowski from Poznań. He graduated with Cinematography at the famed Łódź Film School in Poland. Taczanowski was the director of photography on nineteen feature films and two television series.
