Warsaw Cup
The Warsaw Cup is an annual figure skating competition sanctioned by the International Skating Union (ISU), organized and hosted by the Polish Figure Skating Association () and held in Warsaw, Poland. The Warsaw Cup debuted in 2002 as a junior-level competition. A pairs event for senior-level skaters was added in 2010, men's and women's in 2012, and ice dance in 2014. When the ISU launched the ISU Challenger Series in 2014, the Warsaw Cup was one of the inaugural competitions. The Warsaw Cup has been a Challenger Series almost every year since. Medals are awarded in men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dance; and as part of the Challenger Series, skaters earn ISU World Standing points based on their results. Alexander Majorov of Sweden holds the record for winning the most Warsaw Cup titles in men's singles (with two), while Ekaterina Kurakova of Poland holds the record in women's singles (with three). ISU Challenger Series
The ISU Challenger Series is a series of international figure skating competitions. Established by the International Skating Union in the 2014–15 figure skating season, 2014–15 season, it is a group of senior-level events ranked below the ISU Grand Prix of Figure Skating. Each event consists of at least three disciplines out of four (Single skating, men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dancing), and is required to take place between August 1 and December 15. The ISU Challenger Series Synchronized Skating is a separate competition series in the discipline of synchronized skating. History The ISU Council decided to create the series at its February 2014 meeting. Eleven competitions were selected in June 2014. Jorik Hendrickx
Jorik Hendrickx (born 18 May 1992) is a Belgian former competitive figure skater. He is the 2017 CS Nebelhorn Trophy champion, the 2016 CS Nebelhorn Trophy silver medalist, a three-time Coupe du Printemps champion (2012, 2013, 2016), the 2017 International Challenge Cup champion, and a three-time Belgian national champion (2010, 2016, 2017). Stéphane Walker (born 25 December 1990) is a Swiss figure skater. Competing in men's singles, he won ten international medals, including two on the ISU Challenger Series, and became a five-time Swiss Figure Skating Championships, Swiss national champion (2013–14, 2016–18). Maciej Cieplucha (Polish pronunciation: ; born 3 August 1988) is a Polish former competitive figure skater. He is the 2011 Finlandia Trophy bronze medalist, a two-time Warsaw Cup bronze medalist, and a three-time Polish national champion (2010, 2012, 2014). He has qualified three times for the free skate at the European Championships—in 2012, 2013, and 2014. Career Cieplucha began competing on the ISU Junior Grand Prix series in 2003. He won the Polish national junior title in the 2004–05 season. Misha Ge
Mikhail Tszyunovich Ge (born 17 May 1991) is an international coach, choreographer, and former competitive figure skater. He is the 2017 Internationaux de France bronze medalist. In addition to this, he has won nine international medals and four Uzbek national titles. He has finished in the top-ten at six ISU Championships, including two World Championships (2015 and 2018), competed at the 2014 Winter Olympics and the 2018 Winter Olympics, finishing 17th in both competitions. Katherine Medland Spence (born August 5, 2000) is a Canadian figure skater. She is the 2024 CS Warsaw Cup champion and the 2025 Canadian national bronze medalist. Single Skating
Single skating is a discipline of figure skating in which male and female skaters compete individually. Men's singles and women's singles are governed by the International Skating Union (ISU). Figure skating is the oldest winter sport contested at the Olympics, with men's and women's single skating appearing as two of the four figure skating events at the London Games in 1908. Single skaters are required to perform two segments in all international competitions, the short program and the free skating program.
