The ATP and WTA rankings are updated weekly on Mondays (UTC) or at the conclusion of a two-week tournament. As of 1 March 2022, the ATP and WTA announced that Russian and Belarusian players continue to be allowed to compete in international tennis events on Tour and at the Grand Slams. However, they will not compete under the name or flag of Russia or Belarus, due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine. ATP Rankings
The PIF ATP Rankings (previously known as the Pepperstone ATP Rankings) are the merit-based method used by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) for determining the qualification for entry as well as the seeding of players in all singles and doubles tournaments. The first rankings for singles were published on 23 August 1973 while the doubles players were ranked for the first time on 1 March 1976. Ranking points are awarded according to the stage of tournament reached, and the prestige of the tournament, with the four Grand Slam tournaments awarding the most points. The rankings are updated every Monday, and points are dropped 52 weeks after being awarded (with the exception of the ATP Finals, from which points are dropped on the Monday following the last ATP Tour event of the following year). The ATP rankings by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) are the merit-based system for determining the rankings in men's tennis. In doubles, the top-ranked team is the pair who, over the previous 52 weeks, has gathered the most ATP rankings points. The ATP Tour (known as ATP World Tour between January 2009 and December 2018) is the sole worldwide top-tier tennis tour for men organized by the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) founded in 1990 that replaced the earlier dual Grand Prix tennis circuit, Grand Prix Circuit and WCT Circuit. The second-tier tour is the ATP Challenger Tour and the third-tier is the ITF Men's World Tennis Tour. The equivalent women's organisation is the WTA Tour. 2025 ATP Finals
The 2025 ATP Finals (also known as the 2025 Nitto ATP Finals due to Nitto sponsorship) is a planned men's tennis tournament that is scheduled to run from 9 to 16 November 2025. It is set to be played on indoor hard courts at the Inalpi Arena in Turin, Italy for the fifth consecutive time, and would be the season-ending event for the highest-ranked singles players and doubles teams on the 2025 ATP Tour. The tournament is due to be the 56th edition of the singles event and the 51st edition of the doubles competition. Format The ATP Finals group stage has a round-robin format, with eight players/teams divided into two groups of four and each player/team in a group playing the other three in the group.
