Spanish Comics
Spanish comics are the comics of Spain. Comics in Spain are usually called ''historietas'' or ''cómics'', with ''tebeos'' primarily denoting the magazines containing the medium. ''Tebeo'' is a phonetic adaptation of ''TBO'', a long-running (1917–1983) Spanish comic magazine, and sounds like "''te veo''" ("I see you"). Two publishing houses — Editorial Bruguera and Editorial Valenciana — dominated the Spanish comics market for most of its history. Ediciones B is a Spanish publisher, which currently operates as a division of Penguin Random House. Ediciones B is headquartered in Madrid and Barcelona, Spain; with branches throughout Latin America. It was established in 1986, but has its origins in El Gato Negro (1910) and Editorial Bruguera (1940). Las Hermanas Gilda
Las hermanas Gilda (Gilda sisters) are Spanish comic characters of the series of the same name created by Manuel Vázquez Gallego in 1949. The protagonists are the sisters Hermenegilda and Leovigilda, who live together. Salvador Larroca
Salvador Larroca () is a Spanish comic book artist, primarily known for his American work on various ''X-Men'' titles for Marvel Comics. After starting his career as a Cartography, cartographer, Larroca transitioned to working as a comics artist in the 1980s at Marvel UK, contributing to ''Dark Angel'' and ''Death's Head II''. He then did work in North American comics, including DC Comics' ''Flash (comics), Flash'' and Marvel Comics' ''Ghost Rider'', ''Heroes Return'', ''Fantastic Four'', ''The Invincible Iron Man (comics), The Invincible Iron Man'', and various titles related to the ''X-Men'' franchise and Ultimate Marvel imprint. Sergio Aragonés
Sergio Aragonés Domenech ( , ; born 6 September 1937 in Sant Mateu, Castellón, Spain) is a Spanish-Mexican-American cartoonist and writer best known for his contributions to ''Mad (magazine), Mad'' magazine and creating the comic book ''Groo the Wanderer''. Among his peers and fans, Aragonés is widely regarded as "the world's fastest cartoonist". ''The Comics Journal'' has described Aragonés as "one of the most prolific and brilliant cartoonists of his generation". European comics are comics produced in Europe. The comic album is a very common printed medium.
