Plano Independent School District
Plano Independent School District (PISD or Plano ISD) is an independent school district in southwestern Collin County, Texas, Collin County, Texas, United States, based in Plano, Texas, Plano. PISD is the 18th largest school district in Texas and the 82nd largest in the United States. The school district serves over 50,000students and employs approximately 3,800faculty members spread across 73schools and 2special and 4early education centers. PISD's operating budget was million as of 2021. The district named Sara Bonser as Interim Superintendent in November 2017. On March 6, 2018, Bonser became Superintendent of Plano ISD, becoming the first woman to hold the title of superintendent for the district. She retired in early 2022. Dallas Convention Center
The Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center (KBHCCD; formerly the Dallas Convention Center) is a convention center in the Convention Center District of downtown Dallas, Texas. The "Dallas Memorial Auditorium" was a standalone multipurpose arena, designed by George Dahl in 1957. Plano West Senior High School
Plano West Senior High School (commonly known as West, Plano West, or PWSH) is a public high school in Plano, Texas serving high school juniors and seniors. Plano West is named after its geographic location within West Plano. The school is part of Plano Independent School District and enrolls students based on the locations of students' homes, with junior high school (grades 9-10) feeder schools being Jasper and Shepton, both located west of Coit Road. Plano ISD Academy High School
Plano ISD Academy High School, commonly referred to as Academy High School, is a STEAM, interdisciplinary and project-based learning high school. The school serves students from grades 9-12. This school is not a regular secondary school because this school uses a selection process to draw eighth graders from various middle schools in Plano ISD. The school is an alternative to the regular high school experience by offering collaborative team projects, more STEAM classes and the ability to attend classes without structured class periods.
