Nuclear Blast
Nuclear Blast Records is a German record label with subsidiary, subsidiaries located in Germany, the United States and Brazil. It was founded in 1987 by Markus Staiger in Donzdorf. Originally releasing hardcore punk records, the label moved on to releasing albums by thrash metal, melodic death metal, grindcore, industrial metal, power metal and black metal bands, as well as tribute albums. It also distributes and promotes post-hardcore/metalcore labels SharpTone Records; another post-hardcore/metalcore label, Arising Empire, was in Nuclear Blast portfolio until its acquirement by Kontor New Media in 2020. In October 2018, French independent label Believe Digital acquired a majority stake in Nuclear Blast. Ashes Of Ares
Ashes of Ares is an American power metal band featuring ex-Iced Earth members Matt Barlow on vocals and Freddie Vidales on guitar. It previously included drummer Van Williams (formerly of the band Nevermore). History In June 2012, Barlow announced on his Facebook page the creation of a new band with former Iced Earth bassist Freddie Vidales and Nevermore drummer Van Williams. Later that year the band signed with Nuclear Blast Records and entered Morrisound studio and recorded their debut self-titled album. The album was released on September 6, 2013. The band went on tour around Europe with Powerwolf and Battle Beast in September/October 2013. On February 13, 2017, the band announced drummer Williams had left the band he co-founded. The decision was described as "both mutual and amicable." Williams moved on to play with the band Ghost Ship Octavius. In October 2018 the band has released its second album. Belphegor is an Austrian blackened death metal band from Salzburg. They originally formed in 1991 under the name Betrayer before changing their name in 1993, deriving their current name from the Belphegor, demon of the same name. Beast in Black is a Finnish Heavy metal music, heavy metal band formed in Helsinki in 2015 by guitarist and songwriter Anton Kabanen. The band's blend of power metal, 80s pop, and electronic music, as well as their energetic live performances, have made them pioneers of their genre. Battlecross was an American extreme metal band from Canton, Michigan. The band has described their sound as "Blue Collar Thrash Metal". To date, they have released four albums through their label, Metal Blade Records. History The band was founded in 2003 by Tony Asta and Hiran Deraniyagala in Canton, MI, where the childhood best friends and neighbors formed the earliest beginnings of Battlecross while attending Salem High School. Battle Beast (band)
Battle Beast is a Finnish heavy metal band formed in Helsinki in 2008 by Anton Kabanen, Juuso Soinio and Pyry Vikki. The initial line-up consisted of guitarists Soinio and Kabanen, and drummer Vikki, who were high school friends. The rest of the original lineup, bassist Eero Sipilä, keyboardist Janne Björkroth and lead singer Nitte Valo, joined the band after auditions. The band has released six studio albums. Bal-Sagoth () are a symphonic black metal band from Sheffield, Yorkshire, England, formed in 1993. Avatarium is a Swedish doom metal band from Stockholm, founded by Candlemass (band), Candlemass member Leif Edling in 2013. Biography In the winter of 2012, Candlemass (band), Candlemass founder and bassist Leif Edling started to work on a new project and wrote a few Demo (music), demos. Avantasia is a German Supergroup (music), supergroup rock opera, metal opera project created by Tobias Sammet, vocalist of the band Edguy.
