Norg
Norg is a village in the northeastern Netherlands. It is located in the municipality of Noordenveld, Drenthe. It used to be an independent municipality until 1998. Norg is home to two windmills. History Norg is an ''Angerdorf, esdorp'' which developed in the Middle Ages on higher grounds. It was first mentioned in 1149 as Nurch. The etymology of the name is unknown. Norg contains six communal pastures around which houses were built. The Dutch Reformed Church is a 13th-century Romanesque architecture, Romanesque church on the Church Brink, which has a saddle-roof tower. Norg developed during the peat exploitation in the area. In 1931, "Vacantie en Rustoord Den en Duin" planned to build a large holiday resort in the forest near the village. Arthur Lampkin (born 30 May 1938) is an English people, English former professional motorcycle racer. The oldest son in a Yorkshire motorcycling dynasty, he competed in a variety of off-road motorcycle events such as observed trials, motocross and enduros. Motorcycling career Born in Kent, England, Lampkin's father moved the family to Silsden, West Yorkshire in 1941. He began riding his father's Birmingham Small Arms Company, BSA motorcycle even before he was old enough to have a licence. Lampkin purchased his first motorcycle from money he had earned from his paper route, and by the age of 18 he had won the British trials national championship. In the 1960s, Lampkin became a member of the BSA factory racing team along with his brother Alan. Hawkstone Park Motocross Circuit, typically referred to as Hawkstone Park or Hawkstone, is a motocross circuit situated near Market Drayton, north Shropshire, England. The circuit is arguably one of the world's most famous motocross circuits, having staged many grand prix and international events from the 1950s, right through until the present day. The Circuit The Hawkstone circuit is approximately long (although the layout can be shortened for youth or clubman events if required). It is famous for its track surface, which consists of deep, loamy sand. During the course of a race meeting, the circuit becomes very rough and bumpy, testing the skill of riders. The centrepiece of the circuit is the famous 'Hawkstone Hill', a steep hill that eventually rises to a 1-in-3 ascent at the top of the hill. Wohlen is a Municipalities of Switzerland, municipality in the district of Bremgarten (district), Bremgarten in the Cantons of Switzerland, canton of Aargau in Switzerland. History The earliest known settlements in Wohlen date from the late Hallstatt culture, Hallstatt era (600-500 BC). This settlement left two clusters of tumulus, burial mounds in ''Hohbühl'' and ''Häslerhau''. While the graves were discovered and excavated in 1925–1930, the location of the settlement is still unknown. During the Switzerland in the Roman era, Roman era two large estates were built at Oberdorf and the Brünishalde. Both estates date from about 50 AD and supported a number of fields. Rolf Tibblin
Rolf Tibblin (born 7 May 1937) is a Swedish people, Swedish former professional motocross racer. He competed in the Motocross World Championships from 1957 Motocross World Championship, 1957 to 1967 FIM Motocross World Championship, 1967, most prominently as a member of the Husqvarna Motorcycles, Husqvarna factory racing team where he was a two-time 500cc Motocross World Champion. His motorcycle racing career spanned the transition from the heavy, four-stroke motorcycles of the 1950s, to the lightweight two-stroke motorcycles of the 1960s. He was one of the first motocross competitors to stress the importance of a rigorous physical fitness training routine. Tibblin was part of a contingent of Swedish motorcyclists including; Bill Nilsson, Sten Lundin and Torsten Hallman who dominated the sport of motocross in the early 1960s. Cassel (; ) is a Communes of France, commune in the Nord (French department), Nord Departments of France, department in northern France. Built on a prominent hill overlooking French Flanders, the town has existed since Roman Empire, Roman times. Ove Vilmer Lundell (29 May 1930 – 4 September 2001) was a Swedish professional motocross racer. He competed in the Motocross World Championships from 1958 to 1965. Lundell was one of the top off-road motorcyclists of his era coming from Sweden, a nation that produced many of the sport's first world champions. Motorcycle racing career Lundell was born in Möklinta outside Sala in the county of Västmanland, Sweden. His career began at the age of fifteen, when he performed at Swedish circuses where he rode Wall of Death carnival sideshows on an old Indian motorcycle. Lundell worked during the 1950s and 1960s as a rider for the Monark factory racing team. Monark was a large Swedish bicycle and motorcycle manufacturer that was also involved in construction and development. Ring Knutstorp is a Motorsport, motor racing Race track, circuit in Kågeröd, Sweden. The circuit was built in 1963, extended in 1970, and modified to its present configuration in 1980. During the seventies, rounds of the FIA European Formula Three Championship, Formula Three European Cup were held at the circuit, with winners including Alain Prost. Ring Knutstorp hosts rounds of the Scandinavian Touring Car Championship, and is a playable track in the video game ''STCC – The Game''.
