Legend Of The Galactic Heroes
, sometimes abbreviated as ''LOTGH'', ''LOGH'', ''LGH'' or in Japanese (and also depicted as ''Heldensagen vom Kosmosinsel'' in the anime intro), is a series of Epic (genre), epic science fiction novels written by Yoshiki Tanaka. In humanity's distant future, two interstellar states – the monarchy, monarchic Galactic empire, Galactic Empire and the democracy, democratic Free Planets Alliance – are embroiled in a Perpetual war, never-ending war. The story focuses on the exploits of rivals Reinhard von Lohengramm and Yang Wen-li, as they rise to power and fame in the Galactic Empire and the Free Planets Alliance, respectively. An anime adaptation of the novels, produced by Kitty Films, ran from 1988 to 1997. There is also a manga based on the novels, with art by Katsumi Michihara. Ryu Fujisaki
is a Japanese manga artist from Mutsu, Aomori Prefecture. He won prizes in the 39th and the 40th Tezuka Awards. He made his professional manga debut with ''WORLDS'' in 1990. All of his works are published by Shueisha under their Shōnen Jump labels. He has also illustrated four light novels and released two comprehensive art books across his career. Fujisaki is best known for the series ''Hoshin Engi'', which was adapted into an anime series in 1999 and again in 2018 as well as several radio dramas and video games. or Mushi Pro for short, is a Japanese animation studio headquartered in Fujimidai, Nerima, Tokyo, Japan. It previously had a headquarters elsewhere in Nerima.
