LEN Euro Cup
The European Aquatics Euro Cup is the second-tier European water polo club competition run by the European Aquatics for those clubs who did not qualify for the European Aquatics Champions League. The cup was inaugurated in 1992. From 2024, after LEN was renamed to European Aquatics, the new name is the European Aquatics Euro Cup. Overtime (sports)
Overtime (OT) or extra time (ET) is an additional period of play to bring a game to a decision and avoid declaring the match a tie or draw where the scores are the same. In some sports, this extra period is played only if the game is required to have a clear winner, as in single-elimination tournaments where only one team or players can advance to the next round or win the tournament and replays are not allowed. The rules of overtime or extra time vary between sports and even different competitions. Some may employ " sudden death", where the first player or team who scores immediately wins the game. In others, play continues until a specified time has elapsed, and only then is the winner declared. If the contest remains tied after the extra session, depending on the rules, the match may immediately end as a draw, additional periods may be played, or a different tiebreaking procedure such as a penalty shootout may be used instead. Volturno Sporting Club is an Italian water polo club based in the city of Santa Maria Capua Vetere, Campania, Italy. History The history of Volturno SC began in November 1981, when a water polo fans group led by the judge Raffaele Sapienza, founded the club and enrolled at water polo championship of Serie D, for the first time in history. The following year the team joins with Pallanuoto Napoli and participates in Serie C. Vasas SC (men's Water Polo)
The Vasas SC water polo team is a department of the Budapest-based sports association Vasas SC. One of the most successful teams in the country, they have won the Hungarian Championship 17 times and the Hungarian Cup 15 times. The club also had major successes on continental level as they won the LEN Euroleague (formerly European Champions Cup), Europe's premier water polo competition two times and took the LEN Cup Winners' Cup title on three occasions as well.
