Play & Win is a Romanian songwriting and music production project that was formed as a trio in 2008 by Radu Bolfea, Marcel Botezan and Sebastian Barac. It became a solo project by Bolfea after Botezan and Barac left and formed Marco & Seba in 2013. The production team have more than 500 songs to their credit registered at the PRS. As Play & Win, they have been produced some of Romania's biggest dance music hits, collaborating with artists including Inna, Akcent, 3rei Sud Est, and Cătălin Josan. David Ciente
David Ciente (born 9 July 1989) is a Romanian composer and producer. In 2012 and 2013, he attempted to represent Romania in the Eurovision Song Contest with his band Electric Fence, finishing in second place on both occasions. Having signed a record deal with native label Global Records, he is best known for collaborating with artists such as Andra, Inna, Selena Gomez, Alicia Keys and Adam Lambert. Early life Born on 9 July 1989 in Oradea, Ciente discovered his musical passion and talent at a young age, taking classical piano lessons at the age of nine. He went on to study music and graduated from the National University of Music Bucharest. Popcorn (Romanian Music Style)
Popcorn is a subgenre of dance music that originated in Romania in the late 2000s. It is inspired by Europop and dance-pop, featuring house and trance rhythms and fast tempos. The arrangement is characterized by the use of syncopated synthesizers played in staccato, and brass. Instruments such as accordions were eventually also included in several popcorn songs, which were most commonly performed in English.
