The Ilva Trophy is a defunct WTA Tour affiliated women's tennis tournament played from 1984 to 1994, with the exception of 1986 and 1987. It was held in Taranto Taranto (; ; previously called Tarent in English) is a coastal city in Apulia, Southern Italy. The Women's Tennis Association (WTA) is the principal organizing body of women's professional tennis. The association governs the WTA Tour, which is the worldwide professional tennis tour for women, and was founded to create a better future for women's tennis. Petra Schwarz (née Ritter; born 24 May 1972) is a former female professional tennis player from Austria, active from 1987 to 1997. She reached the quarterfinals of the 1994 French Open, French Open in 1994, beating Lisa Raymond, Nathalie Tauziat, Miriam Oremans and Ruxandra Dragomir, before losing to Mary Pierce.
