Horta Sud
Horta Sud (, ; ) is a ''comarca'' in the province of Valencia, Valencian Community, Spain, to the south of the city. Geography It borders, to the north with the city of Valencia and the Horta Nord, to the northwest with Camp de Túria, to the west with Hoya de Buñol and Ribera Alta, to the east with Albufera Natural Park, and to the south with Ribera Baixa and Ribera Alta. Municipalities Language Horta Sud is located within the Valencian-speaking linguistic area. Due to the arrival of numerous Spanish-speaking immigrants in the 60s and 70s, the percentage of Valencian speakers has been reduced in many municipalities. Even so, it is the sub-region with the greatest knowledge and use of Valencian in the metropolitan area of Valencia. Since 2017, 72% of the schools in Horta Sud teach entirely in Valencian. Comarques Of The Valencian Community
The ''Comarcas of Spain, comarques'' of the Valencian Community form an intermediate level of administrative subdivision between Municipalities of Spain, municipalities and Provinces of Spain, provinces. They are used as a basis for the provision of local services by the Generalitat Valenciana, but do not have any representative or executive bodies of their own. In 1987, the Generalitat Valenciana published an official proposal for Homologated Territorial Demarcations, ''Demarcacions Territorials Homologades'' (DTH), of three degrees, where the first degree largely coincides with the territorial concept of ''comarca''. Until now, the practice of these demarcations has been limited as a reference to the administrative decentralisation of the different services offered by the Generalitat, such as education, health, or agriculture. Xirivella
Xirivella () is a Municipalities of Spain, municipality in the Valencian Community, Spain. It borders the Valencia, Spain, city of Valencia, Alaquàs, Picanya and Mislata. The municipality is divided by the Autovía V-30, V-30 motorway and the Turia (river), river Turia, with the La Luz district on the eastern part of the river. Mislata
Mislata (; ) is a city in the Valencian Community, Spain. It has borders with the city of Valencia and Quart de Poblet in the west and Xirivella in the south. Demographics In recent decades it has gone from being a village in the Horta region of the Valencian Community, to the most densely populated municipality in Spain and one of the ten most densely populated in Europe, with a population of 46,131 spread across 2.1 km2. This growth has been assisted by better transport communications including the opening of two stations of the Valencian metro on 20 May 1999 in the town which provide a direct connection to the main railway station and the main shopping area in Carrer de Colón.
