History Of Tabasco
Tabasco, officially the Free and Sovereign State of Tabasco, is one of the Political divisions of Mexico, 32 Federal Entities of Mexico. It is divided into Municipalities of Tabasco, 17 municipalities and its capital city is Villahermosa. It is located in southeast Mexico and is bordered by the states of Campeche to the northeast, Veracruz to the west, and Chiapas to the south and the Petén Department, Petén department of Guatemala to the southeast. It has a coastline to the north with the Gulf of Mexico. Most of the state is covered in rainforest as, unlike most other areas of Mexico, it has plentiful rainfall year-round. The state is also home to La Venta, the major site of the Olmecs, Olmec civilization, considered to be the origin of later Mesoamerican cultures. Mexican Spanish
Mexican Spanish () is the variety of dialects and sociolects of the Spanish language spoken in Mexico and its bordering regions. Mexico has the largest number of Spanish speakers, more than double any other country in the world. Spanish is spoken by over 99% of the population, being the mother tongue of 93.8%, and the second language of 5.4%. José Sabino Herrera Dagdug (born 21 June 1980) is a Mexican politician from the state of Tabasco. Previously affiliated with the Party of the Democratic Revolution (PRD), as a senator-elect for his home state he joined the ranks of the National Regeneration Movement (Morena) on 28 August 2024. Career Herrera Dagdug was born into a cattle-raising family in Huimanguillo, Tabasco, in 1980. He is a graduate in veterinary medicine. He served in the Congress of Tabasco from 2013 to 2015, and was municipal president of Huimanguillo in 2016–2018.
