Brazil
Brazil ( pt, Brasil; ), officially the Federative Republic of Brazil (Portuguese: ), is the largest country in both South America and Latin America. At and with over 217 million people, Brazil is the world's fifth-largest country by area and the seventh most populous. Its capital is Brasília, and its most populous city is São Paulo. The federation is composed of the union of the 26 states and the Federal District. It is the largest country to have Portuguese as an official language and the only one in the Americas; one of the most multicultural and ethnically diverse nations, due to over a century of mass immigration from around the world; and the most populous Roman Catholic-majority country. Bounded by the Atlantic Ocean on the east, Brazil has a coastline of . Colostethus Beebei
''Anomaloglossus beebei'' (common names: Beebe's rocket frog, golden rocket frog) is a species of frog in the family Aromobatidae. This frog is endemic to Guyana, specifically in the Kaieteur National Park. It mainly survives on the giant bromeliad called Brocchinia micrantha. The phytotelmata of this bromeliad is the site of oviposition and tadpole rearing and are defended over time by the males. The females of this species are more brightly golden colored whereas males are more of a dull tan with brown pigmentation. Males take care of offspring and are preferred due to the elongation of their calls. Description The A. beebei has granular central skin, and moderate basal toe webbing. The male A. beebei has a snout-vent length maximum of 16.80 mm. This frog has a shorter Finger I than Finger II and dorsolateral stripes, this helps differentiate them from other species. The golden rocket frog species exhibits a rare phenomenon of reverse sexual dichromatism, meaning that the ...

Colostethus Sumtuosus
''Allobates sumtuosus'' is a species of frog in the family Aromobatidae. It is known to occur in northern Brazil (Pará, Amazonas, and Roraima states), Loreto Region in eastern Peru, central Guyana, and southern Suriname; it may occur more widely in the intervening areas and also extend into Colombia. It might represent a species complex. Description Adult males measure in snout–vent length. The tympanum is distinct and round. Discs of all fingers and toes are weakly expanded. The toes have some basal webbing. The body is robust. Dorsal coloration is solid tan brown to copper. Some individuals small, darker brown spots. The flanks are solid dark brown. Some individuals have a short, pale linear mark running laterally from inguinal region towards the mid section of the body. A white, iridescent ventrolateral stripe runs along the lower margin of the dark brown flanks, all way from tip of snout to the groin but often interrupted. Below the ventrolateral stripe, pale iridescent m ...

Colostethus Olfersioides
''Allobates olfersioides'' (common name: Rio rocket frog) is a species of frog in the family Aromobatidae. It is endemic to the coastal regions of the Atlantic Forest biome of eastern Brazil. This formerly very common species has recently declined and is now absent from many historical locations, but remains common in some areas. It is threatened by habitat loss and possibly chytridiomycosis. The natural habitats of ''Allobates olfersioides'' are primary and secondary forests. It is a diurnal frog that lives on the forest floor. Clutch size is up to 11 eggs. Eggs are laid in a terrestrial nest where they hatch. Tadpole A tadpole is the larval stage in the biological life cycle of an amphibian. Most tadpoles are fully aquatic, though some species of amphibians have tadpoles that are terrestrial. ''Allobates marchesianus'', also known as the dull rocket frog, is a species of frog in the family Aromobatidae. It is found in the Amazon Basin in Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, and Venezuela. However, this species might represent a cryptic species complex, where at least the populations from Venezuela belong to an undescribed species. Description Adult males measure and adult females in snout–vent length. The snout is short, slightly rounded in dorsal view and acutely rounded in lateral view. The anteroventral margin of the tympanum is distinct, whereas the posterodorsal margin is obscured by the supratympanic fold. The fingers and toes bear terminal discs. The toes have very weak lateral keels and some basal webbing. The dorsum is reddish brown with small brown granules. The dorsolateral stripe is distinct, light reddish brown in color. A chocolate-brown band runs from across the snout through the eye and upper tympanum, above arm insertion, and to the groin. Females ha ...
