FBC Melgar
Foot Ball Club Melgar, known simply as FBC Melgar or Melgar, is a Peru, Peruvian professional Association football, football club based in Arequipa. It is one of Peru's oldest football teams, founded in 1915 under the name Juventud Melgar by a group of football enthusiasts from Arequipa. The club currently competes in the Peruvian Primera División, the top tier of Peruvian football. The team first participated in the Peruvian Primera División, Peruvian football league in 1919 and later was invited to the first true National football league, the Torneo Descentralizado, in 1966 Torneo Descentralizado, 1966, when four teams from the Provinces were invited to join the league. Club Bolívar () is a Bolivian professional football club that currently plays in the Bolivian Primera División. Founded in 1925 in honor of military leader Simón Bolívar, the club has used light blue kits throughout its history, which is why it is nicknamed "Los Celestes" (The Sky Blues). Coquimbo Unido
Coquimbo Unido is a Chilean football club based in the city of Coquimbo. The club was founded in 1958 and has played in the Chilean Primera División since being promoted in 2022. Their home games are played at the Estadio Municipal Francisco Sánchez Rumoroso, which has a capacity of approximately 18,750 seats. History The club was founded on 30 August 1958. Mariano Lorenzo Melgar Valdivieso (10 August 1790–12 March 1815) was a Peruvian revolutionary, poet, artist, translator and patriot soldier during the Peruvian War of Independence from Spain. As a poet, Melgar became one of the most prominent romantic poets of Peru in the 19th century history, best known for his poetic love songs known as ''yaravíes''. He is often considered to be the equivalent of the Ecuadorian José Joaquín Olmedo and the Cuban José Martí as patriots of their respective countries. The Primera División Femenina officially named Liga Femenina (currently known as Liga Femenina Pluspetrol 2023 for sponsorship reasons), is the top tournament of women's association football in Peru, organized by the Peruvian Football Federation through its Women's Football Commission.
