Cătălin Tecuceanu
Cătălin Tecuceanu (; born 9 September 1999), commonly spelled Catalin Tecuceanu (), is a Romanian-born Italian middle-distance runner. Career Tecuceanu arrived in Italy in 2008, joining his parents who were already there. In 2021, setting in Savona his personal best in the 800 m with 1:44.93, he also achieved the entry standard for the participation in the 2022 World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon. Curiosity Italian citizen since November 2021, and eligible to represent Italy in national competitions from 9 March 2022, with a time of 1:45.24 on 800 m set in Ostrava he also established the 10th best Italian all-time performance over distance. His previous time of 1:44.93, established in 2021 in Zagreb, was a Romanian record as the athlete at that time could only represent Romania. Istanbul 2023
The 2023 European Athletics Indoor Championships will be held from 2 to 5 March 2023 at the Ataköy Athletics Arena in Istanbul, Turkey, the first time the event has taken place in this country although the venue did stage the 2012 IAAF World Indoor Championships, 2012 World Indoor Championships. The four-day competition will be held during the centenary year of the Republic of Turkey, and will feature 13 men's and 13 women's athletics events over three morning and four afternoon sessions. The Italian Athletics Championships ( it, Campionati italiani assoluti di atletica leggera) are the national championships in athletics, organised every year by the Federazione Italiana di Atletica Leggera. The first edition, four races only, was held in 1906 at Arena Civica in Milan, just after the foundation of the Federazione Podistica Italiana and with the organization of '' La Gazzetta dello Sport''. Since then, 110 editions were held with the only exceptions of the years 1915-1918 and 1944. During 1945, only athletes of Northern Italy could participate but FIDAL considered this edition as an official one. To the running races, in 1913 the field events were added.
