César Carballo
César Carballo Cardona (1968) is a Spanish physician and emergency medicine doctor. He is an emergency service physician at the Hospital Universitario Ramón y Cajal and vice president of the Sociedad Española de Medicina de Urgencias y Emergencias (SEMES) of Madrid. He is a prolific television guest since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in Spain, having been called by the '' Huffington Post'' one of the most recognizable medical experts of the Spanish crisis. Fernando Simón Soria (born 29 July 1963) is a Spanish epidemiologist serving as Director of the Coordination Centre for Health Alerts and Emergencies of the Ministry of Health. He came to public prominence as spokesman for the special committee on Ebola virus disease in Spain in 2014, and a similar role during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Coordination Centre for Health Alerts and Emergencies (, CCAES) is a body of the Spanish Ministry of Health responsible for coordinating the management of information and supporting all health authorities in cases of national or international health alert or emergency situations that pose a threat to the health of the population.
