Cæsar Bang
Cæsar Boeck Bang (8 February 1870 – October 1951) was a Norwegian businessman. Biography Cæsar Boeck Bang was born at Drammen in Buskerud, Norway. He finished Kristiania Commerce School (now Oslo Commerce School) in 1888 and later studied abroad. From 1895 to 1901, he worked as a manager for Hillringsberg which consisted of a foundry and saw mills in Värmland, Sweden. From 1902 to 1905, he worked at the power company Hafslund Sulfitfabrik. In 1905 he founded the paper mill Greaker Cellulosefabrik in Sarpsborg and became manager there. He was the chairman of Norsk Celluloseforening from 1915 to 1918, a central board member of the Norwegian Employers' Confederation from 1915 to 1925 and president of the Federation of Norwegian Industries from 1924 to 1927. Drammen
Drammen () is a city and municipality in Viken, Norway. The port and river city of Drammen is centrally located in the south-eastern and most populated part of Norway. Drammen municipality also includes smaller towns and villages such as Konnerud, Svelvik, Mjøndalen and Skoger. Location Drammen is located west of the Oslofjord and is situated approximately 44 km South-west of Oslo. There are more than 101 000 inhabitants in the municipality, but the city is the regional capital of an area with 82 000 inhabitants. Christian Emil Stoud Platou
Christian Emil Stoud Platou (18 April 1861 – 28 July 1923) was a Norwegian railroad director and politician for the Conservative Party. Personal life He was born in Hamar as the son of banker Christian Fredrik Stoud Platou (1824–1883) and Elise Sem (1833–1923). He was a brother of Gabriel Andreas Stoud Platou and Waldemar Stoud Platou, grandnephew of Ludvig Stoud Platou, uncle of Karen, Ragnar and Frithjof Stoud Platou and granduncle of Lars T. Platou. He was also a second cousin of Oscar, Lars and Valborg Platou. In July 1889 in Ottestad he married physician's daughter Mina Lund. Vestre Gravlund is a cemetery in the Frogner borough of Oslo, Norway. It is located next to the Borgen metro station. At , it is the largest cemetery in Norway. It was inaugurated in September 1902 and also contains a crematorium (''Vestre krematorium'') and chapel (''Gravkapellet''). The grave chapel was constructed in granite and clay stone and was designed by architect Alfred Christian Dahl (1857–1940). It was built in 1900 and consecrated in 1902. Norwegian America Line
The Norwegian America Line ( no, Den Norske Amerikalinje), was a shipping line, originally an operator of ocean liners and cargo ships. Founded in 1910, the company ran a regular transatlantic service between Norway and the United States, and later included a route to East Africa as well. Primarily due to competition from air travel, transatlantic passenger voyages were slowly discontinued during the years. After the Great War, the company was one of Norway’s largest shipping lines, owning a fleet that included 19 vessels, several of which were for commercial cargo transport. After the Second World War heavy ships losses were overcome by the building of new vessels, however the reduction in the passengers’ traffic by sea shifted the company’s focus mainly to the cargo business, including container and bulk shipping from the 1970s.
