Czech Republic National Basketball Team
The Czech Republic men's national basketball team (), recognised by FIBA as Czechia, represents the Czech Republic in international basketball. The team is controlled by the Czech Basketball Federation (ČBF). Following the dissolution of Czechoslovakia, the Czech Republic national team made their debut in international competition in a qualifier for the EuroBasket in 1993. The team has qualified for the tournament seven times overall. The Czech Republic has also qualified for the FIBA World Cup, where the team reached the quarter-finals in 2019, during their first appearance at the event. Greece Men's National Basketball Team
The Greece men's national basketball team () represents Greece in international basketball. They are controlled by the Hellenic Basketball Federation, the governing body for basketball in Greece. Greece is currently ranked 13th in the FIBA World Ranking. Greece have appeared nine times at the FIBA World Cup, with their best result coming in 2006 as runners-up, after beating the United States 101–95 in the tournament's semi-final. Greece have taken part in the EuroBasket 28 times, winning the tournament twice, while also coming away with one silver (1989), as well as two bronze medals (1949, 2009). Some of the team's highlights at the competition were beating the Soviet Union 103–101 in the final in Athens to win their first title in 1987, and defeating Germany 78–62 in the final in 2005. Jan Veselý (born 24 April 1990) is a Czech professional basketball player for FC Barcelona Bàsquet, FC Barcelona of the Spanish Liga ACB and the EuroLeague. The Poland men's national basketball team () represents Poland in international basketball competitions. They are controlled by the Polish Basketball Federation (PZKosz). EuroBasket 2013 was the 38th edition of the EuroBasket championship that was organized by FIBA Europe. It took place from 4 September until 22 September 2013 in Slovenia. The number of participating teams was 24. France men's national basketball team, France defeated Lithuania men's national basketball team, Lithuania in the final to win their first title. Petr Benda (born March 25, 1982) is a Czech professional basketball player, who currently plays for Basketball Nymburk. He also represented the senior Czech Republic national team. Luboš Bartoň (born 7 April 1980) is a Czech professional basketball coach. He is a 2.02 m tall small forward who last played for FC Barcelona Bàsquet B, FC Barcelona B of Spain's second division. College career Bartoň played college basketball at Valparaiso University with the Valparaiso Crusaders men's basketball, Valparaiso Crusaders from 1998 to 2002.
