The Czech Republic, also known as Czechia, and historically known as Bohemia, is a landlocked country in Central Europe. The Czech Open is a darts tournament held now at Orea Pyramida Hotel in Prague, Czech Republic and in the past also in many other arenas in the Czech Republic. First edition of this tournament took place in 1995. In 2018-2019, it was one of the most important British Darts Organisation (BDO) and World Darts Federation (WDF) tournament. Czech Open (floorball)
Czech Open is an international floorball tournament. It takes place every year in August in Prague, Czech Republic. It is one of the largest floorball tournaments in the world. Every year over 200 teams from around the world participate. The first season was played in 1993. The tournament is organized by Prague floorball club Tatran Střešovice. There are seven categories in the tournament. Both men and women have three categories (Elite, Pro and Open) and juniors have one. Czech teams have a number of places reserved, which are assigned according to standings of the teams in Czech floorball leagues (such as Superliga florbalu or Extraliga žen ve florbale). The most successful team in the history of the tournament is Swedish Pixbo IBK Pixbo IBK, also known as Redfox, is a Swedish floorball club, based in Mölnlycke, Västra Götaland, near Gothenburg. The Czech Open is a professional golf tournament, currently played on the Czech PGA Tour. It was formerly played on the European Tour between 1994−1998 and 2009−2012. History The tournament first appeared on the European Tour schedule between 1994 and 1997 as the Chemapol Trophy Czech Open, and was the first European Tour event staged east of the former Iron Curtain after the fall of the Berlin Wall. The first three of those events were held at the Golf Club Mariánské Lázně in Mariánské Lázně, before moving to the Prague Karlstein Golf Club, overlooked by Karlštejn Castle, just outside Prague. Germany's former World Number 1 Bernhard Langer was much the most distinguished of the four champions. The Prague Open was a Grand Prix tennis circuit, Grand Prix and ATP Tour, ATP affiliated men's tennis tournament played from 1987 to 1999. It was held in Prague in the Czech Republic (formerly Czechoslovakia) and played on Clay court, outdoor clay courts. Karel Nováček and Sergi Bruguera were singles title holders as they won two editions each one. Vojtěch Flégl, Karel Nováček and Daniel Vacek were the doubles title record holders with two victories each one. Karel Nováček was also a singles and doubles winner in the same year, and so was Yevgeny Kafelnikov.
